I have always been into the scale modeling of cars and aircraft. However as I got older the aircraft side was so intangible i focused more on the scale 1:24 cars. Then as of a couple years ago I really missed building, so I jumped full force (and wallet) into buying kits again. I only "built" 2 of them, but never finished and gave them away. I've sold some on other forums and facebook, but have kept these. I'm on the fence about keeping all of them. I want to move some of these to do some diecast stuff as I seem to be way more into it.

Here's what I have

-Revell F-14B
-Revell of Gemany F-22A - w/Eduard PE
-Revell F-15E - (50% started)
-Hasegawa F/A-18 A/C  P24
-Hasegawa F-4G P4 - Eduards zoom pe
-Hasegawa F-14B 09691 - Aries cockpit
-Italieri MiG-23 - Eduards zoom pe
-Hasegawa F-14A P18
-Hasegawa A-7E P12 Has with Last Mission decals
-Hasegawa F-16C SP32 Fighting Fulcrum
-Hasegawa AV-8B II plus 09783
-Academy F-14A Bombcat with FOD intake covers, True details cockpit and resin nose
-Tamiya F-15C w/eduards pe
-Revell F/A-18F
-Revell of Germany MiG-25
-Revell Su-25 w/aftermarket decals
-Academy MIG-29A w/eduards zoom
-OEZ MiG-21 Bis w/PE
-Historic Plastics MiG-19S
-Monogram F-105 F/G or  w/Legends Cockpit (G)

Any input on what I should do? Don't think these kits hold their value too much, with the exceptions of the Hasegawa's. So I'm not in it for money, was just for fun, so I could part with them.

Anyone else build jets?

I would love to see those on display and assembled!

I have a collection of about 20 WW2 fighters in 1/72 which are now proudly displayed alongside my 1/18 collection in a new case I acquired. I am interested in adding a couple more. Mosquito, B25, maybe a B17, but those are all bigger. The 1/72 fighter jets that are made of diecast are awesome and I am trying to resist. Someday when 1/18 diecast has turned into 1/18 overpriced resin, I might get into jets and 1/50 Construction equipment.

I also used to build kits, started with 1:72 fighters (my first ones were airfix Focke-Wulf FW190 & Messerschmitt ME-163 Komet) then after a couple of years I switched to 1:35 tanks. I enjoyed building them, and I do kinda miss the simplicity and how cheap they are.

My 1:43 collection thread will be made soon!

Okay, then I retract a portion of my comment dealing with where you were going to display them.  Now all you'll need is a one car garage.  :nice:

I have various 1/48 kits I built over the years, also got some unbuilt ones stashed away. Really need to invest in a good airbrush and some sort of portable paint booth before I get back into it. Here are a couple old pics, as I built a couple more since they were taken a few years ago:

Great pic, Venom, though it makes me think of moths invading my home :nice:. What's the story behind that blue F-18 in the second pic? Does it represent some country's genuine military colors?

Was gonna paint it a camo like the aggressor aircraft used buy the USMC and USN, but got lazy and never finished. Completely fictional scheme on the Super Hornet, but similar schemes were used on normal Hornets and other US aggressor aircraft.

NIce stuff Venom. If you are looking to get back into it, I can hook you up with an airbrush and kits.
