I bought a Blue Porsche 991 GT3 RS from them a while ago, as soon as I open the box I knew it wasn't good.

The top of the windscreen had come away & there was glue / scorching where the windscreen wipers are. I knew that they'd offer to send a replacement front screen, but luckily it had this other problem too, so I asked for a replacement.

I contacted them & sent pics etc - tomorrow it has been FIVE WEEKS since I messaged them :wtff: In that time I've been passed on from one department to the other, but no one's had the decency to reply to me. I also told them that their QC had been getting progressively worse & that several models I'd had from had lose door mirrors where they'd not glued them well enough.

I had a name of someone there so I messaged her asking her to try for me, she did and sid it might take five days to get a reply. I didn't get one. Then finally last week after chasing her again, I got an auto reply saying that she was snowed under with emails and had well over a hundred to work through.

This company is completely useless! :gaah:

I paid by PayPal, so my next step will be to contact them & see if they'll be able to sort something out :hope:

F**k you Photobucket.

Same here but with Otto - but I know a few months back the SAME guy is replying (Ranulf I think) on emails for both Otto and GTS. It's been months since I've sent them an email and no reply. MONTHS ..

And I've sent the email twice in that period of time. Lame, just lame

I guess their expansion has been so fast they've forgotten the true spirit in which they started the companies in the first place. I.e. "by collectors for collectors"
Shame really but that's business I guess?

Bogged down under the weight of their success. Happens with most businesses when they do too well and cannot react fast enough to issues cropping up. They will eventually but I guess you guys will have to bear with them for sometime till they work it out.

I am not making excuses here, but France pretty much closes down during August.
I suspect the whole staff have moved to the south of France for the sunshine, and only those who drew the short straw are left to mind the store.
I learned many years ago that it's a waste of time trying to deal with French companies during August.
Since e-mails are shunted to the back of the queue I don't even send them questions at this time of the year.
Look here and take note of the warning notice (and yes I know it's a different company, but it's an illustration of 'their holidays'):

I didn't realise France closed down too, I know that Italy does. I guess I'll wait.
Incidentally I changed an OttO booking on 15th Aug & OttO said they were closed on the 15th & 16th Aug. I sent the request again earlier & the reply came from a lady with the same name as the GTS query, so I guess she works for both.

This is stupid. Since they also have an office located in Macau, they should hire a few more staffs there just to deal with the emails.(unlike HK and China, there is no minimum wage in Macau, so a couple of hirings won't kill them)

France does not close down in August they just slown down. And staff that speaks/write proper english and can handle customer service does not come cheap even in Macau.

That being said they obviously have issues adjusting to the growth of their business...

Oh how the mighty have fallen!

They're on their way to being just like the rest, which is a shame as for years people praised them for the very things they're now lacking. They need to either slow down with the production, or hire more workers in every department to carry the extra load, otherwise their reputation will suffer.

TOM

My 1:43 collection thread will be made soon!

Well it is cheap in western world standard, in fact every job in Macau makes little money unless you work in the tourism front/gambling industry.

What happened in your case? Did they ever get back to you? I am now missing a small antenna on my Otto E30 C2 Alpina and I have sent them an email about it. No reply at all ..

No, just promises of otto contacting me directly any day now, for 3 weeks or so. Ended up just sending it back to the seller the day before the time limit on ebay.

Weirdly it bounced around Germany for a while and ended up back to me despite me checking "treat as abandonded" on the package if it couldnt be delivered (since it says on the shipping label that I have to pay original shipping if returned). I actually still havent opened the package, its worthless for now at least.

I contacted the name I had for them yesterday to see if she could pass on my message, I got the 'experiencing a high volume of emails' email back. But I did get a reply today where I was told that it's taking a month for after sales & saying that I can contact them directly.. I had already done that by filling out the form on their website

One thing to point out to them, if their QC wasn't so s**t lately, they'd not have this huge backlog!! :danke:

I'll get on to them again in a few days.

F**k you Photobucket.

I had a reply earlier offering to send out windscreen wipers as a spare part. I said that I'd also need a front screen too. But would be prefer a replacement model instead.

I've also requested to cancel my next two orders with them. I'd rather go without (I would probably buy from a re seller instead of this bunch of time wasters) I sent this message twice..

Hi ,
Please cancel the whole order. I've been waiting over five weeks for a reply from your after sales department and most of your models come with QC problems (even though they have a QC checked card in the box) so I'd rather not run the risk of that again.

Regards,
Craig.

Send them an e-mail asking them to check the model carefully.
I had to do it once, and they said they would.
My replacement was flawless, although oddly it doesn't have a serial number sticker underneath.....

Craig, I can't remember if we've discussed this before, but I generally buy my new GT Spirit models from Clobbed Models - I live not too far from him, so I meet up at the services halfway between both of us ad I get the model handed over in person, so no shipping damage to worry about. He also checks the models beforehand and will reject any with poor QC. Whereabouts do you live?
