Here's something that hasn't had its own topic on DX yet, FrontiArt's model of the legendary Cizeta V16T.  This car has one of the longest and most complicated stories of any supercar ever made - how it was Marcello Gandini's original design for the Diablo, how the US government ICE agency seized one from Claudio Zampolli as he was trying to get production of it restarted in Southern California, how the Sultan of Brunei once owned a very special right-hand drive blue one...it really is a fascinating car.

FrontiArt came out with this last year, I was waiting for the right time to get one and it came a couple weeks ago when I got this blue one on sale.  I got #2 out of 300 made.  This is my first FrontiArt model and it has to be one of the best resins in my collection so far.  The working pop-up headlights would be enough to do it, but the paint is my favorite part, top quality and the pearl blue color is just sublime.  Overall, there is a lot that makes this a stand out and I definitely recommend it to anyone who collects supercars, Italians, or anyone else interested.  It's one of my new favorites and it fits in so well with the other supercars from this era - it completes the Gandini trio that I had planned for my collection, along with the Autoart Diablo and EB110.  Enjoy the photos!

That last pic is just pure perfection Mike! It's a really interesting looking car, to say the least. If I'm not mistaken, this is from their Avanstyle sub-brand? Either way, pop up light on an otherwise sealed model is always a welcome addition :yahoo:

Great piece from Frontiart. That blue is indeed perfect. Nice to see it near EB110, which is one of my favorite.

amazing piece... working popup lights on a sealed model is definitely a welcome feature. I think this is the first time i've seen functioning popup lamps on any sealed model i came across. I hope other makers will consider implement something similar too. What is more astonishing is the car itself. The quad popup lights is an absolute bonker even for the shoulder pad wearing gender bending 80s.

Very nice model of a relatively unknown car. How do the headlights function, is there a peg underneath like Autoart's?

Thanks everyone :occasion14:

Baseb8, no peg or anything underneath, just on little hinges.  I used the pry tool from the Kyosho Ferraris to open them.

Chaim, yes, AvanStyle line.  It comes in a red box, on a black base with red stitching and numbered chrome plate.  As I was saying, it's my first FrontiArt model, got a pretty good deal on it (around $200 shipped).  All of the other models by them that I want (Koenigsegg CC8S, SSC Tuatara, etc) are a lot more than that, so it's good to get the one that I wanted the most at a lower price.

There's loads of Frontiart models I'd like to get as well, but I've got 4 or 5 Avanstyle models (I've lost count without actually checking lol) and as I've said in my reviews I believe them to be the best sealed models out there price vs quality. I also have 2 Sophiart models and they're pretty good value for money too!  If only they could sort out their disorganisation, they could actually grab all 3 main levels of the resin sealed market (plus the resin opening) and never really have to let go

Magnificent photo shoot and theme Mike. So glad that you added the Cizeta as I knew that it was on your wish list for an extended period of time. You have hit some real home runs of late with your collection. I will be interested to see your impression of the Ferrari 365P when it arrives.

Thanks again guys! Simon, I still remember when you told me about it coming out and how surprised and happy I was!  I'm really excited for the 365P, could be a couple more days until it gets here, ordered it from Hong Kong.  I'll definitely get a topic up for it when it comes, and some group shots with my other Ferrari concepts.  I also will post a topic soon for the BoS Porsche Panamericana concept that you asked about...I love it, its teal color and funky open wheels, such a unique and cool looking Porsche that BoS did a good job on.  Not enough time to take as many photos as I want  :gaah:

So glad you posted this insanely cool model, I remember very well when the Cizeta came out
and I liked it then, all these years later still do, You can clearly see the start of Diablo all over it.
Great color too. :10:

Damn - I really want a Cizeta V16T! I'm struggling to find them for less that £250 GBP though!

I believe Cizeta should be pronounced Che-Zeeta, as it's the initials of Claudio Zampoli, though maybe a native Italian speaker could confirm.

(No I'm not Italian even though my username might suggest it!)

Car words are the best way to learn Italian    I've heard it pronounced "Chee-zetta", but not 100% sure either.

This video of this white one, I'm hoping to go to this dealership/gallery this weekend to see it, if they still have it.  There are at least 4 or 5 Cizetas in California, that were made here, but I have yet to see my first one.

I've never seen one. There was one for sale in the UK about 10 years ago, a black one that had had an Engine swap from a Testarossa. If you go and they have it, lots of pics please!
