That's a bit nuts! I think though when the 1/18's come out, they'll go back to being normal prices. It happened on the Minichamps White Ford Focus RS models, they were going for about £200 a time (I had several) till the 1/18 came along, then prices dropped off.

F**k you Photobucket.

Please feel free to check out my 1/18 collection HERE

I received my #91 and no, it's not just the angle.
That exhaust looks like in first picture also from a lower point of view.

Anyway, nice model in my opinion, I like it. :twocents:
Air intake grids really open. :eusa_clap:

Glad to hear you received the #91, I am still wondering why only a very limited few numbers have been released for sale.

At the moment, I can only find one from Italy.

Yes I see. I have no idea about that, but I bought it from an ebay italian seller that has already finished both numbers.
There are also a couple from France.
Probably there were also a couple from Germany, but I can't see them anymore.
Carmodel has it, too (only #91 - I can't see anymore #92).

They were out for Le Mans (one of the commentators commented that his fellow presenter had bought a diecast of the Pink Pig 911), so presumably retailers in France (or maybe Porsche themselves?) had them before that.

I'm curious as to how anyone (except perhaps Porsche themselves) knew how the colour schemes would be exactly on race day.
These things are often changed late on, sometimes an additional sponsor, sometimes the result of accident damage, or even last minute driver changes.    :twocents: :dunno: :danke:

I think they're basically the equivalent of dealer editions; Porsche/Spark probably worked together beforehand to have them ready.  Either that, or they did what Minichamps do with their F1 "show cars" and just use the previous year's bodywork with the updated livery.

I expect they'll get a "regular" release, in the normal Spark packaging, and at a more sensible price, some time later.

That's probably going to be really expensive given all the wings.  Rising costs in F1 due to crazy aero work will always raise the cost of the 1:18 counterparts...looks good though (the accuracy, not the car itself).

Yeah Spark's F1 cars have been coming in around €150.  Still cheaper than Minichamps' resin F1 cars (€190!  WTF!), much cheaper than Looksmart's F1 Ferraris, and about the same as other Spark race car models.

Even the Minichamps models based on old tooling are €130 now - the last of their F1 models I bought was the Brawn from Brazil, which was about £60 or £70 at the time.  The recent repaint is €130 on CK, and frankly it's nowhere near good enough to justify that and comes from a less significant race!

I think most people would wait for this year's #91 and #92 because of their performance at LeMans and their retro liveries.

I grabbed the #91 car before, Whilst the 15% off was still on offer. I think it came to around £122 all in.

Bought that #91 together with that 919 with that sale.
The livery of those rsr's are to nice to let go.
It would stand great if spark releases the 91 & 92 ,86 from this years lemans
saw that ck asks 360 & 270€ for that 1/43 rothmans and pink rsr's :lamende:

Was about time they release that fitzpatrick 935.
I believe it was the last 935 to be seen in on LeMans, And it finished 1st in its class & 4th overall behind the new 956's.
I hope spark release also the valvoline 935 soon.
