Guiddy posted a status update about a Ferrari exhibition at The Design Museum in London. I was visiting London anyway over the Xmas period, so booked to visit the exhibition! There were some great cars and interesting behind the scenes stuff like models used for wind tunnel testing on display. I went with my 4 year old son, who loved watching the videos and seeing the picture on the multimedia guide on a small touchscreen device I paid an extra couple of quid for, plus my younger brother who took some of pics you'll see below. I've arranged the pics in pretty much the order you go around the exhibit in - enjoy!!

There were a couple of 1:8 Amalgam models on display in the gift store - they look cool for their sheer size, but to spend £8k~ on one is just mental!

Posted Image

Posted Image

I just liked the roof of the museum - thought it looked cool!

Thanks for looking - hope I haven't made you use up all your data! :giggle:

What a great exhibition!!

I don't recall an F40 being 805hp though. It must be crazy!

I'd love a 1/8 Amalgam!

F**k you Photobucket.

Please feel free to check out my 1/18 collection HERE

Great pics Chaim, it was like being there all over again!

I wonder if someone has pointed out the wrong HP figures for the F40? That's way higher than the 478hp the standard car was capable of!

The 250 GTO is interesting as it has the interior it would have left the factory with, a hammertone gold paint! Looks like hammerite to me! Awful! Kinda glad CMC didn't do their models like that even though technically it would be correct!

I didn't see the Amalgam models when I went, I wonder if they came after? Shame, I would have liked a close look at that GTO!

I went Sunday 24th December in the morning - when did you go? The cashier did say a lady had come in, taken a quick look at them and bought 2, so maybe they had been bought and restocked in between? :dunno:

They must have been sold and restocked in between that time then. They were certainly a sight to behold, as I've never seen one before!

You missed out, man! Only took just over an hour to go round and was reasonably priced as well - at least you can get some sort of flavour of the exhibition from these pics :drool5:
