Hi guys, does anyone make a 1:18 porsche 964/993 rs rollcage like the style pictured below with 2 crossed bars behind the driver and 1 behind the window?

Can be full or half cage, would prefer half cage. Closest I've found so far is this from legende-miniatures http://www.legende-m...es/page139.html
but it would require chopping up and refixing to look right. Thanks.

I'm not sure, but I think you'd be able to make one easily enough. I've seen a few members here make them :)

F**k you Photobucket.

Please feel free to check out my 1/18 collection HERE

If it were me, and I have tried to create roll bar/roll cage arrangements for custom models, it is easier to begin with a kit, such as you have shown, and then make the minor adjustments to customize.

When the system allows me to upload images again, I will show what I use - hollow plastic tube.
Solid wire can be inserted to keep the shape and add strength.

Cheers guy's. I think starting with a kit would be better as it would save me measuring all the interior dimensions.

Slartibartfast229 - can't see your picture, do you have any other way to upload?

No other upload option that I know of!
I don't know what causes the problem so I will try again.
It's irritating, and happens from time to time.
Another fail.....
I will try again later......
Grrrrrrrrr!

You might have luck with some of the old AUTOart Porsche GT3 models. I think a couple of them came with the cage though I believe it was only the mid section with no rear or front arms. Otherwise, tube it bro.

Yes try to look for a cheap RSR / cup Autoart ( RS rollcage would be perfect but expensive ). Sometimes there is some with little exterior damage on eBay for like 20/30 euros :nice:

Cheers guys. The Autoart's that are caged are 996's so a different shaped caged and hard to find. The old UT caged 993's would be perfect but they are quite rare.

If it's significantly cheaper, I will build one otherwise may just go with the legends miniatures one.

What about GT Spirit 993's ? The cup one isn't to much expensive as it's not as rare as the RS ClubSport. Plus it would be the exact shape you want I think ?

They would be perfect too although I'd have no use for the rest of the car.

Do you know of any shops that sell what you have?

This is not the same as I use (but it should suit), and I will try again to upload the picture in the next reply.....
