Hi guys,


It's now time to nominate your DX member of the year for 2017 The rules are the same as last year, we're allowing multiple nominations (three per member) as we realise that different members have different skill sets.
This could mean a member has helped you out improving your photography. A member has provided you with expert knowledge in the custom models forums. They're a great knowledge base, or you feel that they're always on hand to help and have really made a difference to DX.



Feel free to nominate whoever you like (staff included) you don't have to say why unless you want to. Nominations will close in one weeks time on 29th January UK evening time & voting will start after that.

Sorry, only just noticed this thread! Thanks to Dave and Darren to nominating me!
My 3 nominations would be:

• Koen/Stirling_Moss - for really helping me out with some photography skills recently. I feel like my recent reviews have gotten better with his help!
  
• Darren/drivinghermad - somehow he keeps driving her mad, but hasn't been kicked out the house yet which deserves a medal! In all seriousness he is involved in pretty much every thread you come across and always has something of value to say.
  
• Dave7872/Dave - even while his daughter was going through some (too many) tough times this year, he still stuck around here and I guess reminded us that there is much more to life than a few lumps of metal and plastic and brought members together a little bit I think.....

Just to say that there is only one day left to nominate!!

Hard to pick, but my three choices are:

Chaim (mcaf123) for his superb reviews and photography

Dave (Dave7872) for maintaining a presence on this site, including handling the Most Wanted List and sharing his mad 917 mod(s) during a year of personal hardship

Jim (ibj40) for his steadfast refusal to allow manufacturers to get away with short-cuts and incorrectly replicated technical details in their efforts to make a quick buck off ignorant sheep like me. When people are oohing-and-ahhing at someone finally releasing a diecast Boondoggle V-8, it's hard to be the one who cries, "But the emperor has no clothes!". Add in his encyclopedic knowledge of the technical side of racing and his mods to correct the flaws he finds, Jim represents a Renaissance man in model collecting.
