Just like last year's catalog I must say it is bold of Norev to release their sales numbers in terms of units sold and total revenue! The transparency is rather refreshing, and at the same seeing the total revenue at 14 million Euro is surprising to me, I would have thought a company of Norev's size would have higher earnings.

  They boast about sponsoring race teams as far back as 1970, so they must be making serious dough to be able to have such large sponsor logos on major teams. :dunno: :twocents:

Add to that the fact that Minichamps are also releasing the same body style 935.
Why not a 1977 'works' style body (also used in 1980/1)?
Or the much more famous Kremer K3 style?
First the duplicate Mercedes C9, and now this........    :dunno:

If your a 1/43 collector, Mini Boutik have some cracking models reduced.

As for the 935, I'm sure Norev will try and do every single livery. I for one hope they do the Martini 935's, I'm lucky enough to own the #1 Exoto version, But would happily buy the #3 & #40 cars.

Honestly, I think the 935 will be a great seller for Norev  :twocents:

I think a Norev 935 at that sort of price will sell very well (and there's plenty of scope for some great liveries), I'll certainly consider a Martini one (I'm not lucky enough to own an Exoto, although I have a TSM '79 LM winner and a Carousel version of the Newman car), although I'm still hoping TSM will release their Martini 935!

That price is probably a bench mark, But I would imagine their retail price will be around £50 ish, Like their 917's.

I bet a lot of people didn't even know about this possible release???

Subject matters - spot on!
Looks - great (that Porsche 901 for example is bloody sexy!)
Opening diecast - no, no, no, no, yes, no, no...

Oh Norev... Why are you doing this to me?!!

I am not a fundamentalist specially if we are talking about an hobby, but I still prefer the good old diecast with all opening features, and Norev was still one of the last proud survivors of the golden era... I will be really on a fence for a lot of these new models.

The 935 is my all time favorite Porsche, and those Norev models look very nice !

It's the same mold for all prototypes, with a separate front bumper and side skirts depending on the version

I guess the livery will be made with decals ( unfortunately ) but i can't wait to use many of those to build more custom models for my 935 collection.

It's going to be a great seller for sure, all of us who don't own the many many Exoto versions will snap these up.

The Paul Newman #70 car from Le Mans 1979 is slightly wrong - the drivers side rear view mirror should be mounted higher up on the door glass.
Not a big problem, and should be fairly easy to correct......
Image from the 'net, copyright to the listed photographer.
This is one I will probably end up buying, it can sit alongside my 1979 winner.....

For the price point, I don't think I would worry to much, I mean, They are going to be a quarter of the price of an Exoto.

Very true, and some careful surgery will easily sort the problem (I hope!).
In fact there are other issues  - as a result of me looking through my photo stash and the 'net.
The runner boards are attached to the area under the door in a different way on this car, as can be seen in the photo.
Not as easy to correct, but I suspect these are plastic additions to the core body shell, and could be reshaped.....

They are only prototypes, so hopefully they spot the little inaccuracies & sort them out.

One could always try and email Norev and let them know???

But take it from me.... I have emailed them many times.... I could count the number of replies on one hand, So that would be none lol.

I wouldn't bet on it - The splitters on the non-Le Mans Sauber C9s are all wrong, for example.

And the nose panel on those is two parts (good that they make them different for different versions, but the real things are one part).

This will be a case of 'close enough' or wait for the Minichamps or TSM ones... For the money, I suspect most would accept a few faults, but perhaps less people on here :)
