Kyosho's R35. Really nice looking model. From their heydays.

I do like this idea.

But I dislike having 4 weird black vents on a white hood. I did see this one pic of a "Type 1" hood, which looks a lot better to me.

Posted Image

Also I vastly prefer having a white roof

Cool! There's 2 version's of the Mine's R35, street and circuit. Are you doing one of them or a mishmash of the features you like best?

Is the one with the carboon hood a circuit version?

Yeah circuit version has the exposed carbon hood although now they have painted it and added extra vents. I think the fully exposed carbon hood it had before looked better.

Spec list here:

Street version - http://www.mines-wav...t_201010_E.html

Circuit version - http://www.mines-wav..._Circuit_E.html

Although as you would expect from a track car they have had parts changed over the years such as wheels, hood, canards, Carbon roof and all sorts.

Good choice, the street version looks nice.

Here's a load more pics of it and spec list: http://www.superstre...issan-gt-r-r35/

Sometimes it wears Volk G2's and sometimes it wears the stock wheels.

I like the 380RS a lot cause it already looks great with the OEM body kit. A simple wheel swap and maybe some carbon here and there and it'll be crisp.

Never thought I'd be getting this but me and lateapex decided we're gonna stick an S2000 engine in the back haha. So let's see what happens. I'm tempted to keep it N/A, as S2000's 240 hp is more than enough for this car, but it does mean I'll have to scrape the turbo script off the body.

Seriously impressed with the amount of detail in this thing

Posted Image

Posted Image

I'm thinking I'll do staggered deep dish telephone dial wheels. Should be a fun little project. Now let's hope the new engine fits in the back.

I think the way Autoart made it is not so cool. If they made it like in the pic above, it would have sold a lot better. Although I have no idea how it sold in asia

evo siiiiiix! Got two of these. One is just gonna get tarted up a bit, nothing crazy, and the other one will be a Mine's edition.

I'll have to replace the solid grilles with some mesh
Posted Image

Posted Image

The wheels will obviously have to go
Posted Image

The engine is not as bad as I thought it would be - a lot of potential here.
Posted Image

I quite like the underbody on these older autoarts. The depth is much appreciated
Posted Image

The interior leaves a lot to be desired however...

This rare birdie eluded me for way too long but last year I finally got it off ebay from a local seller. It was expensive but worth it in my eyes. I will be keeping the exterior stock, only making the headlight housings black since autoart neglected to do it. Then I'll focus on the existing detail and amplify it wherever possible. Seatbelts, engine doodads etc. And for once the wheels will actually stay stock because I rather like them and swapping wheels on a Mugen Type R seems sacrilegious.

I like how they detailed the steering column

The engine will require quite a bit of work though

A couple of fair ladies out for a walk!

Got the Midnight Devil off lateapex. He does good work, but fortunately for me he is also quite mad and will sell his models. I got this one off him and it's worth every penny. The orange one most of you have seen but in these pics it's wearing different wheels. I figured the e50s that i had on it were an inch too big, so i settled for smaller Longchamps painted with a Molotow chrome marker.

Looks great without a hood

Posted Image

Posted Image

It's sitting on Watanabes with Ignition Model tires, and looks great from every angle

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And now let's get to the detail!

Unfortunately the reality with custom models is they're a bit fragile, so a few small parts are bound to fall off during transit, so if you are buying one, you should be prepared to repair it. In this case, it was the rear strut bar, which Frederik made with some very nice machined parts from RB Motion. It came looking like this and the parts were nowhere to be found.

Posted Image

Not to worry, as we both shop at RB Motion and I just happened to have extremely similar parts but in brass finish, so I repaired it and it looks even snazzier than before.

Posted Image

Posted Image

There's something very satisfying about an added detail that is entirely metal and as clean looking as this. That's the romance with custom models and why they're worth every penny.

The interior is extremely nicely done as well, clean and understated.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And now onto that engine, which in my opinion is his best work. So clean and sparkly, with abundant detail, yet minimalistic.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And now my Z432 custom but this time with Longchamps instead of the e50s or e49s or whatever they're called.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And now some shots of the two engines together. Detail overload

It's also kinda cool that they're two different engines.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And now just some exterior pair shots.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

and that's it! Hope you guys enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking pics of them. These two classics are photogenic as hell.

Hi Wes, your AUTOart Fairlady's look fantastic! , especially the orange car, the painted black fender flares look great , along with the new wheels, and great engine detail. Fortunately , I do not have these models, as I would become preoccupied with having them transformed into looking like these two, Great work !!!
