It seems that from January they'll no longer be doing pre-orders on their website. The models they've shown look promising though and there are a few outstanding ones there.

F**k you Photobucket.

Blockbuster news, but underwhelming lineup of models. Surprising that Otto isn’t stopping direct pre-orders

I thought that the point was they were going to sell direct to the collectors and not to retailers.

All of their Diablo releases sit higher than the AUTOart counterparts. Some people may not like the way they looked, that said, I may get that green GT though.

I read the bad news about they are stopping selling directly.

I think it's not a good thing.
I think it is "not fair" for customers, that don't care and have no advantage in advertising or similars from distributors.

I think also it's a very strange decision: internet in last 15/20 years is finding efficiency in commerce removing intermediation.
Why add it now?

If also Otto will do the same, I don't know if I will buy again their models.

Agree. The wheels look huge from certain angles and somehow the shape seems off. These newer GT's certainly look a lot better than the earlier SE30's though.

How dare you insult the ClubSport wing like that! :Jka:

Although yeah seeing as there's already 2 RS CS's out, they probably should've done the standard RS this time.

The Lister LeMans looks awesome, hopefully a Liater Storm may follow. Interesting to see the 456. Could be a replacement for the old Bburugo

Ferrari 456 and the new Mustang for me, if they are not 1/12... But to be honest, I am afraid of the prices as nowadays CK and even Modelissimo sells them at the price of 119€, even some at 129€, while GTS website sells them for 99€ mostly. Speaking about what is not fair in this co-operation, I think this is not - for us, collectors at least. I know we can have 10% discount and such, but I just feel these shops price increase is just not fair. CK even raised the prices of some earlier models that were in stock from one day to another without any reason...

We can always vote with our wallets. I havenít bought any autoarts since I came back to the hobby, they are just too expensive for me. Ditto the GT spirits when they deemed it necessary to raise prices to 119.

Countach seems nice, but I generally do not collect concept cars. Hopefully they re-release the 458 LB with better engine details. And 488 LB. and La Ferrari. and Enzo.

Not a fan of wide body cars, but that concept Countache is just so crazy I want it....

Hopefully quality doesn't continue to decline

Nothing BMW flavoured to take my interest though a few cool looking models.

Shame about not being able to buy direct. I suppose for them, it's an additional bother of having to manage and fulfil bookings and also deal with any issues that arise. Now it's just a case of supplying vendors with stock and that's it. I remember when they used to do (silver/gold) discounts for 'loyal' buyers. Shame that's long gone. It was those buyers who made all those purchases in the early days (and I remember them being voted Manufacturer of the Year on this form a number of years back).

I suspect GT Spirit are fed up with building in numbers that are too difficult to guess accurately.
One of the biggest issues for GT was orders made by collectors and then rejected for whatever reason (see above).
Asking dealers for guaranteed quantities that they will pay for upon delivery will avoid over supply.
It may also allow those same dealers to ask for specific subjects/colour schemes to suit their market.
Otto recently stated that they don't do this, and perhaps that's part of these changes.
Hopefully we can look forward to an end to 1000 variations of the same supercars and hypercars that I have zero interest in.
