There is also a metallic blue, with silver wheels already available.

Just came across this - the AMG GT 63S 4-door looks like it's out:

Been out for a good month now. The blue is also available to buy. It looks proper mean in black!

Matra 72-74 from Norev would be legit. Would also save me several hundred dollars.

I am happy that Solido are back producing 1/18th scale stuff, but much of what has been resurrected is 1980's bBurago level.
This Norev 205 GTi is a stark example of the advances being made, since Solido have reintroduced their ancient version.
No one with a basic appreciation of this hobby would opt for the Solido (unless as a source of parts!).

I was of the (mistaken) belief that all of the old school Norev 1/18th scale models were full or part opening.
The re-release of the 905's above and 1978 Renault A442 Le Mans winners put that to rights for me!     :yahoo:

Wow a 1/12 XKE? Pretty ambitious eh but I reckon it is going to be another sealed diecast/resin? like their other 1/12 subjects?

Can be seen in the toy fair video links, along with a red open top.
Almost certainly sealed - although expected to sell for €149.

Based on photos from the Toyfair below, looks like Norev is making a C140 S-class coupe/CL (unpainted, next to the Type 35 model). Should be a good improvement over the ancient Majorette that's been the only option until now:

A C140 with opening bits? Oh yes please! I can then complete the CL generation with this :D

It's great of course that they are making that CL. But isn't that the least desired CL of them all?

A medium quality fully opening W220 would be very nice. (Better than maisto and Otto sealed)

Is there much enthusiasm for this car? I like the two seater, but the 4 seater looks like a total dog's breakfast to me!

I'm talking about the real thing, not Norev's version.

would love to know if this is the standard cl500/cl600 or one of the AMG versions that was offered.  I'd be all over it if AMG.....pass if just standard.  I ordered the LS collectibles CL AMG.  it'll certainly complete my AMG big coupe collection, but an opening version would be more desirable.  I will hold off judgment on the LS collectibles version until after I have it in a few months.

I'm not sure whether this Continental GT has been displayed in the Toyfair.
So quite some manufactures making this car in diecast full opening huh, AR, Norev. Minichamps as well?

I thought they never do AMGs, but then the AMG GT 4 doors showed up.

I think Norev have never done a normal sedan AMG, like the S63 AMG etc. Because of license?
They did the AMG GT, and the AMG GT 4 doors can be considered as a derivative thereof.

The AMG GT Coupe doesn't count because everyone and their grandmas have made their own version. lol
