Hello!
A couple years ago I bought a custom HWE Ferrari 458 Speciale. Part of the deal was new wheels. I already had a stock, normal version from HWE and wanted more to make this Speciale, special.

Anyways, my AC on the top floor of my house crapped out, and it got a bit warm. Not warm enough to damage any of my models, but these wheels did not fair well. I guess they were poorly built. They melted, and are greatly misshaped. I mean, UT models look like pure gold in comparison.

So, I need new wheels. I'll take stock wheels, but like I mentioned before, I want something special.

Could you please post links and photos of wheels that you think would look great on my model. I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Hi,
I think you have a couple of choices if you fancy Hobby Design rims and tires. I really like them design-wise, and most ot the rims can be a direct replace for the HWE Ferraris as they fit the same way as the stock wheels. I don't know where to find them in the States, but I usually order them from China, Japan or Singapore. Here is a couple of choices from one of my favourite shops:

Wow, those all look really good! Do you know of any European model shop selling those? I searched but no luck...

Try car-model-kit.com, they are in Czech Republic and usually have some 1/18 rims in stock :-)

EBay seller Autex. They have a lot of wheels that suit supercars, are in the US and they're already painted. Only issue might be that they're wheels from resin models so have that style of fitting but nothing a drill can't sort.
