My humble little collection has changed a lot in the past two years, and that means it's time I make a new collection thread.

So here they are:

Thanks! The ones I've seen in silver tend to have paint and casting flaws (mine has a few).

Thanks! The Callaway doesn't get much love from collectors, but I love that thing.

Added a couple more photos, original post updated.

Another day, another update to this thread.

This time, the Mercedes SL500 with the Vario folding roof, a Minichamps masterpiece I chased for a long time, but only managed to add a few months ago.

AutoArt Lambo Murcielago: doors are very wobbly and also won't stay up on that one, so I propped them up with a paper plug. Can you spot it?

One of my best HWE, mainly due to the total absence of paint rash (believe it or not).

It is very tasty indeed! I love that folding roof, but the mechanism is too fragile to be playing with and the trunk lid doesn't sit flush anymore.

Update with three Kyosho Audi R8:

Posted Image
Funny story, I had made tons of driver's side shots of the white R8 above, only to find out that the driver's side mirror had detached itself and was pointing upwards in a funny angle. The above shot is one of the few where the bent up mirror doesn't show, the remaining I had to delete. :mad2:

yeah, its annoying when you take a bunch of photos and then something is misaligned. one time i took a bunch of photos, only to see i didnt close a door properly when i got the photos on my computer :S
had to redo half of the photos because the gap was very noticeable.

That's right, I tend to focus so much on what I want from the shooting that sometimes I forget about model preparation: half-closed panels, missing/broken bits, funny camber on wheels, dust, fingerprints...

I love the R8 in white, with the black side blades and other black parts contrasting with the white.

I don't think it looks as good in many other colors tbh, I think maybe in silver, shame Kyosho didn't do that one I think, not sure any other maker done it in silver (in 1:18).

just a little observation, sometimes your photos is a bit cold/blueish. maybe you would try adjusting the settings on your camera if you can, and want to.

Sometimes I manage to adjust those little problems with the help of a photoeditor...

Yeah, there's a blue tint going on mostly when its a white or silver model on white background. I tried any different ISO and white balance settings but those are the best results.

I need to find a permanent lighting solution for bad weather days, I'm only improvising with desk lamps at the moment. Here's my setup:

yeah, i have also had to edit this in a load of photos. some editing programs allows to edit the warmth, but not all programs have that function.

yes, it is the white balance. you could try take a test photo and see of the screen of the camera if it is blue of yellow, then adjust if needed. i think if you can improve the white balance it would go a long way.
