One of my excitements in life is when a new 1:18 'daily driver' is released, so this new Ford Focus ST-Line Sedan immediately caught my eyes. It's really too bad that this new generation Focus won't be sold in the USA (for reasons that are entirely different subject), so this 1:18 is the closest I will probably get to see one. This car is the China Dealer Edition and interestingly they chose to do the sedan version versus the sexier hatchback. To the best of my knowledge the sedan version will be sold in limited markets too.

This 1:18 Focus is really heavy and the craftsmanship is truly amazing! For less than $90 shipped this car really feels like a premium model and making it a good value!
The paint quality, panel gaps, and body alignment are really good here! Norev and Kyosho can learn a thing or two from here with regards to panel alignments. The metallic blue color which is the launch color of the ST really suits the car. I love the functional moonroof and the detailed interior, although I wish the would use less sheen on the plastics. If I can nit pick, the worst thing about this car is the wobbly wheel attachment.

I am glad they decided to do the "ST-Line" version of the Focus sedan as I imagine without the ST treatment this car can look pretty bland. I do wish Ford would take more chances with the design, especially the front fascia where it has zero characters. Compared to the previous generation Focus, the new one looks much softer and will take a while to get used to. But I really like the rear end design with it's new FoMoCo signature taillight.

If you can find one at a reasonable price I highly recommend it!
So here are some outdoor pics of the New Focus along with the previous generation RS:

CONGRATS Stefanus!! :eusa_clap: :yahoo:  You know that I'm also getting one of these and your photos make me rant it immediately :drool5:

Actually, I like that they have done the sedan (Because you know that they will also do the hatch, just let us hope that it's also an ST-Line) :hope:

It's just AMAZING that the Chinese Dealer Promos are pretty much where AUTOart was like 4-5 years ago with panel gaps on their diecasts. That side, their detail level of functionality blows away AUTOart and many other "premium brands" :yahoo:

So, basically, this model is a must for us..It's looking great and your shots outside just make it all the more enticing Stefanus! GREAT Job & CONGRATS! :eusa_clap:  CHEERS! :occasion14:

Thanks Craig. Yes the previous gen RS indeed is also a nice looking car. Here is my old posting of that car vs the Civic Type R:
https://www.diecastx...s-civic-type-r/

With regards to the 4-door version of the Focus, this is what I read:

"Ford limited sales of fourth generation Focus in its 4-door saloon form in Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus as well as many Asian and African countries.
Ford no longer sells new Focus in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Israel due to broader reorganization of Ford's European branch"

I guess with the next gen USDM focus to be produced in China, that plan didn't really materialized due to the tariffs.
But yes that's really too bad we won't get the latest gen Focus in the US.
