My Marlboro decal sets have arrived.
Using my Minichamps version as a guide to sizes, this is the set best suited to use on the car (black markings only).
These are really nicely produced decals, since I have used other sets from them in the past.
http://www.msmcreati...ges/MSMD250.jpg
HK$80 is about €9.30 - shipping for me (several sets) was less than €10.
The 1984 car seems to have white markings on a black base across the windscreen, I haven't been able to find suitable decals on their site.

Who are the manufactores of these decals? You buy them of ebay?

I would like to have all decals including "castrol-labels" and window stripes and "Stuck" naming on the doors etc. Hopefully member "TopGun" are able to provide me with all corrrect decals.
I have bought the correct 1983 front-bumper from Autoartspares so I will replicate the Stuck 1983 winning car.

Could you perheps help me by measure the lenght and height of the Marlboro bonnet decal on your 1/18 scale Minichamps 635CSi? I need an size reference to be able to recieve custom made decals. Would be so much helpful. :nice:
All of the decals are by a company called MSM creations http://www.msmcreation.com/
My requirements are somewhat different to yours, in all cases I am adding the Marlboro decals to models that don't include them.
Size details of those included on the Minichamps will follow later today.

Sizes for the Marlboro decals as supplied by Minichamps.
Bonnet - 18 x 70 mm
Sides - 12 x 50 mm
Windscreen strip - 6 x 22 mm
Not supplied by Minichamps is a white decal for the black number plate at the rear (some doubt about this) also 6 x 22 mm.

Have to tried finding a spare set from the Minichamps on e-bay?
You never know.....

I can show you a photo of one of my projects requiring Marlboro decals which were not supplied in the box if you want to see what those linked decals look like.

Are there any colour which represent yellow zink chrome plating in a realistic way?

Thank you "slartibartfast229". Please share.
However I have also asked TKdiecast to quote me on a custom made decal set.

No response is not good, I wonder if they consider quantity orders only - say a minimum of 20.
How did you get on with the first suggested supplier?

Poor photo of the M3 project.
This was bought cheaply because of a number of problems, most have been corrected - although the observant will spot the missing rear wing.
It was the 'no smoking bar code' version which I wanted to add the ciggie marks to, even though the car only ran at one event that year with the full sponsorship.
It's an iconic scheme, although Cor Euser found the quality of DTM competition much higher than he was used to in Holland and Belgium, so his results were not up to much.
I have the wiper and roof aerial, the search is now on for a suitable rear wing....

A few pictures to show that this project is ongoing, unfortunately very slow since this was more tricky than I initially thought. :)
The detail level of this Autoart model is way less than first appear. Therefor there is much more work required to really get it realistic.

Rear suspension with added brake lines and painted discs, back-side is pure black plastic from AUTOart. Everything is of course smoothened and re-painted. Shocks painted yellow.

Sorry for bad pictures, I only have a useless Iphone camera. Also I had to use low resolution for the rear suspension picture or file was to big. To bad since picture is now so small that details are hardly visible. I dont know really how to upload bigger resolution files.
