How to create interior texture look-a-like...

I wonder if any of you know how Autoart does their interior seat/door-sills "fine flocking" that they use on some models?
Example of model would be street version of M3 E30 Sport Evolution that has this treatment to steering wheel and seats.

Would below product work or is the powder flings to big and only sutable for floor mats?

See what lateapex and Rob do, they might have flocked a few things in some of their builds, I know Rob has.

I think it's cool and makes models look so much nicer.

F**k you Photobucket.

there is a tutorial for 1:24 model kits on youtube, but i think it should work the same for 1:18.

I started using these matte chalky paints available at my local art store for like $2

bottle looks like this

when first applied it looks like this

after drying, and this is just one coat, it looks like this, nice and dry and feels like felt

I also used it in black

I assume you can keep adding coats to make it more and more like the felt material without the hassle of resorting to flocking messes

Thanks for the advise StratosWRC.
Taking a closer look it seems that Autoart also uses some rubber-feel paint for the seats. It most be similar to what you use.
I suppose this is something similair aswell:

Looks like it. Although there is still a little bit of shine to it. My chalky paints have no shine. Some people also use microbeads, you can look that up

What you want is micro-balloons, look it up, it basically looks real. I havent tried it yet but I bought some a while ago.
