An underrated but solid model from HWE. I do wish that they put on working popup lights on this one (and the 3.2 and 308GT4) but i am glad Hot Wheels chose to make these obscure unpopular subjects as i quite like these lemon cars (in scale model form that is )

I have both 60th anniversary like yours in ionised red and the normal release in red. The ionised red somehow doesn't feel like normal Ferraris we all are already familiar with but on advantage is that you don't get paint rashes on these. I was planning on selling the 60th anniv version after I bought the red one but considering the market value for these are pretty low and I quite like them so decide hold on to them instead.

I have the normal red Elite as well.
I'm surprised that the Mondial 3.2 is much more wanted than the Mondial 8.

It seems like that the body colored bumper can change people's taste a lot. Examples are this and to some extent the 348 vs 355, and the 308 vs 328.

Feel free to have a look of my collection on DX.

hmm i guess i might belong to the minority. i actually prefer the Mondial 8/308 look more than the newer M 3.2/328 with cleaner look. But who knows maybe subconsciously i was influenced by the movies as most of the iconic scenes from movies from that era typically features 308 prominently. Think.. Magnum PI, Cannonball run etc...

I couldn't stand the Ferrari Mondial when I was growing up,  I hated the look of it compared to the Ferrari 308 and Testarossa and I didn't even buy a model of it when Hot Wheels released it in the Elite series.
It wasn't until the past couple years that I've gained a greater appreciation for this car after seeing a few of them on the road and hearing them.

I finally broke down and bought the Elite Mondail 3.2 and love it.  Now I wish that Hot Wheels had made the convertible as well.  I actually prefer the cleaner look of the 3.2 to the Mondail 8 but I wouldn't mind having both.
