Hey guys,

I'm not much of an aviation buff, but I do have a soft spot for the Boeing 747 and a few other models. I have a few InFlight 747s, which are pretty good quality wise. I'm about to buy an 1/72 E-2C model but I can't decide if I should go with the Hobby Master or the Air Force 1 version. Any inputs regarding the better quality of the producers? I have no models from either company so far and have never seen any of them in a store or so.

So, next to the question above, do you have any feedback to aircraft model producers in general? What are the best brands, quality-price winners or brands to stay away from?

I used to buy my friend some really highly detailed 1/72nd brand back when I was in Germany. they were diecast and the Box had it where you could look down on the fighters and see then from above..I totally forgot the brand, but, If I were going to ever collect what I gave as a gift to my best friend every Christmas, it would be that brand.

Also, I do have for myself one Herpa brand I think 747-400 with spinning rotors when you blow on the jet turbines, that's details, but it's literally stored..I did see it recently while looking for some of my model cars.

Keep us updated! Have fun collecting! :occasion14:

I will certainly do ;-) If you ever remember the name of that brand, please let me know.

Didn't find much in terms of what I'm looking for, but thanks nonetheless ;-) I did order two models now: one from Hobby Master, one from Calibre Wings. I'm eager to see how I'll like them :-)
