I haven't posted on here in a long time, but I've been excited about some recent purchases. I am trying imgur for pic hosting to see how it goes prior to uploading more, if anyone has a better site let me know.

This one is my latest;

Even though the car is kind of a junker by today's standards, the Countach remains one of my favorite looking cars of all times. I highly recommend the 25th Anniversary car by Autoart.

You have a very nice racing collection! I love pretty much all models you shown (great photos BTW) but there are 2 that I have to point out: first, the Ford GT GTE which, as much as it hurts me (I'm admitedly a Ferrari fan), I love the way it look! Its aerodynamic solutions make it "form meets function" perfectly and the AUTOart makes it justice. The engine seems to lack some detail (I expected a bit more wiring around the engine bay) but other than that, it looks amazing! The other one I have to point out is the Countach 25º Anniversario, the very peak of what the Countach was meant to be with all its flash and excess. The interior, IMO; looks a bit too bland all black and the rearview mirrors don't seem to be perfectly shaped but, other than that, it looks awesome! Just look at that engine bay!! :drool5:

BTW: one small hint from one who loves to abuse on macro photos: a wide soft brush ir your greatest friend to get nice macro photos cause it will help you to keep the dust from showing up too evidently, especially on black surfaces (the interior on the Countach and the carbon bits on the F310 are ominous examples of it. :nice: :twocents:

I completely agree about Ford GT and Countach. I wish the Countach had the tan interior as it was almost my favorite growing up.

These photos just came from my Samsung S6 phone, can I do a wide soft brush? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't think I made myself completely clear: I mean I use an actual wide paint brush (like you'd use to paint canvases or the ladies use to apply makeup) to physically dust off the miniatures when I'm photographing them. With a cloth, it's harder to get to the gaps and features of the model, which (if there isn't all that much dust) with a brush you just have to swipe it off and the quality of the photos will have a great improvement.

Did the previous owner apply clear coat on top of the decals? There are folks who think that if they apply clear coat over the decals, they won't deteriorate but that isn't really the case, as it won't prevent them to turn yellow with time either... Nonetheless, it's a nice looking model, I'm usually not very fond of having the pilot inside the cars, I dunno, looks like they're "trapped" inside it for eternity LOL! I have one too but it's the small old 1:24 Bburago that I kept from when I was young.
