I had the 1st release of GMP's 1993 Mustang Cobra a while back, but car was damaged and I ended up selling it for parts. I was pretty sad because for the longest time I couldn't find the replacement until GMP released this again.
The 2nd release has black interior vs grey on the original, and if I remembered correctly the original release has floor mats. I actually prefer the grey interior but given the premium I have to pay to get the 1st release, I'd settle with this one. This was the 2nd car I got as I had to return the 1st one due to factory defect.

There are some review on this forum already on this car, so I won't go over the details too much. It's the usual GMP built, has good details but can be rough around the edges. With the GMP cars you pay for the subject matter more than the quality of the model itself. But I really don't mind as I love the Fox Mustang and the teal color is very period-appropriate. I wish GMP would've improved the headlights detail on this 2nd release.

Here are some garage-set photos along with its younger sibling the S550 Mustang. I had to slightly edit the color as my iPhone won't correctly capture the teal (it turned full-blue). Changing the color tint brought a more accurate color of this car.

Hope you like them :nice:

Thanks :occasion14:
I picked this color mainly because it's so uniquely 90's

Congrats Stefanus! I always wanted one of these teal or red even Cobras, but never pulled the trigger regrettably.
The one thing about these newer re-releases is, that GMP really let their QC slid hard! I saw a Convertible. :gaah: It looked like it was in the process of Transforming to an Autobot   how appalling for what they are asking price wise these day :twocents:
Luckily, yours looks better than some others that I had seen :eusa_clap: :yahoo:
Also, I really liked seeing the jack stand and tool set used in your pics!!...what a good idea. Bravo! :nice:
Thanks for sharing your lovely pics and gnarly '93 Mustang Cobra with us!! CHEERS!!! :occasion14:

Yes, their QC left a lot to be desired. The 1st copy I got had the trunk support struts damaged and glue residue on the rear quarter panel. There's also a HUGE gap between the match and rear edge of the C-pillar. So I had to return that.
This copy I got thankfully is MUCH better. But like I said, people (myself included) are buying this more on the subject matter instead of the quality of the model. So I'm glad to have this in my collection :nice:

Your thread proves 2 things:

(1) You will not go wrong with any color. Teal is definitely period correct. (Someone in this forum should get a Black, post it and we can have the perfect trifecta... :yahoo: )

(2) My photography / phone camera sucks.

And yes, the previous releases had removable floor mats. How cool would that have been!

There is a post a while ago of the black car. Here it is:

But I'm definitely happy with the Teal

I'm taking this pics using an old iPhone as well, nothing fancy.

And I do regret the omission of the floor mat, that was one of the novelties of the original release.
