Title pretty much sums up how I feel after finding this forum.

I tried collecting cars way back in my mid teens when Exoticar was still around and sending out catalogs in the mail. I think Autoart just came out too? Anyhow, I recently started doing the hot wheels thing but was always left with dissatisfaction because of the detail and never really cared for any of the models found at Wal-Mart and Target. I did always look on ebay to keep myself up-to-date and my goodness has the prices gone up. I remember $50 was the average price for a Kyosho or Autoart. I recently picked up a Otto 300ZX as I own one personally and I was bit by the bug all over again. Within the few days of recieved my Z, I have 4 more models coming to assemble my "dream" garage. I am more of Japanese tuner guy so I do still have my Autoart R34, Evo VI, and NSX from way back when. The R34 and Evo suffered damages from the terror of kids when I fell off the wagon but they are still in okay condition. I thought flat spots was only a real car problem but my R34 is suffering from it bad. New wheels and rubber are on the to do list for that car.

I am rambling now but the discovery of modifying these things is surely going to take away from my real 1:1. I'm excited to have found this site and everything it has to offer.

Greetings from Asia-Pacific. I know exactly your experience because that was what happened to me. After outgrowing Hot Wheels, I thought maybe some decent 1:18 from AUTOart will do. After a series of chain reactions, even with my purchasing toned down significantly, I now spend my free time daily on used vehicle sites thinking about when I can get a fast Subaru wagon.

:nice: Life is too short for boring cars! Happy collecting.

Welcome aboard mate, greetings from Australia. Plenty of custom builds on here, and I too own a Z32 300zxTT, you can see pics of it in the "What do you drive" thread. I also have a YouTube channel called RobsModelCars and I have nearly 500 videos of Model Reviews, custom model builds and modelling tutorials.

Enjoy DX, soooo much to look at.

If it ain't the man himself! I've been watching a few of your videos lately since I've been doing a bunch of research. I'm amazed you don't have the new Kyosho Samurai Z32 model. I have one on the way and can't wait!
