And with the #2 2001 Daytona 24 Winner

Note: these two models represent in fact the same 1:1 (chassis #003), which was entered in both events. Thanks Jim (ibj40) for the link!

I assume you are aware that they are both the same chassis?

Corvette C5-R Chassis #003

Thanks Jim!

Yep, I knew that as I often check the RSC website for info on race cars, but I can see now that the way I presented the models might lead people to believe they were unrelated rather than the same car. Thanks for the input! :danke: :occasion14:

Wonderful pictures of these two iconic Corvettes.  I was at Daytona, Sebring, and LeMans in 2000 when the Vipers dominated.

Having always raced Chevrolets, but being a closet Mopar fan (beginning with Richard Petty), I took great pleasure in wearing my North American Dodge and Viper clothing in France.

Notwithstanding, watching Corvette come back and dominate in 2001 (I also attended the Texas race that year) was equally exciting.

These look really good. More clean and striking photos.  I got #3, and #2 from the 2001 Daytona made by Action which look very good; though, the Autoart's do a little bit better.  The #63 version looks really good in your photos..may have to pick one up someday if I see a good deal..thanks for sharing.

These passed me by somehow, but they look great.

I think, for some reason, I imagined these were sealed!

I will definitely keep my eyes open for one.

Great photos too!

Thank you! :occasion14:

I thought first the rear cover was sealed, but that is actually only held by transport screws inside the rear wheel wells.

One thing to watch are the roof antennas, mine came intact but I was careless and broke the one on the #63.
