During this Covid-19 “Stay at Home” order, I had the chance to really go thru my older 1:18 collections and found myself admiring the really cool old cars. Case in the point is this older AutoArt 1:18 BMW E46 WTCC. This is the plain body version. The rear wing is missing, and I wasn’t sure what happened to it, so I just installed a ‘blanking plate’ to cover the holes. Not perfect but presentable. I also added the license plate of my home state (Michigan, USA).

First, allow me to relay some Public Service Announcement in 1:18 Scale :nice:

The one main downside of this car is the sealed body. But other than that, it’s still a proper diecast with enough details. I just love the proportion and craftsmanship of these older AutoArts. Plus the E46 is one of my favorite BMW ever. Having owned a E46 I still regretting selling that car.

Here are some “Trailered & Garaged” photos. Hope you like them

Very good job on making this former racing car into something more interesting Stefanus!!! :yahoo:
It's looking really good and you almost can't tell that there once stood a GT-Wing on the rear trunk :eusa_clap:
Very nice photo and wise current health message!! :occasion14:

Thanks Dave :occasion14:
I do really wish AutoArt would make this E46 LCI in the road car guise but it never came. My other E46 LCI is Otto's.

Thanks :nice:  - I thought it does look cleaner without the wings and I just wish I have a cleaner way to cover the holes in the trunk. But this is OK for now. My thought is to find another spoiler for it that's less obvious (more subtle).
