Here I have a pair of British finest from the Thatcher era. a RR Silver Spirit from 1987 and the mighty Bentley Turbo R. I missed the chance to get the BRG Turbo R from GT Spirit when they first came out so I've been waiting for the new release in light blue since it was announced. Definitely a solid piece of resin model with ample of details all round.

Love them - the Camargue especially. The Mulsanne really did announce the revival of the Bentley brand and being a child of the 80's this era resonates strongly with me.

Very nice additions, it's "hip to be square"!

I share your sentiment Simon. I too lived through the 80s as a child and i feel right at home with the boxy cars :giggle: The Camargue is probably one of those love it or hate it kind of car. I wasn't a fan at the beginning but slowly grew to appreciate it and I believe Camargue was one of the first big scale diecast car (being advertised as 1/22 and sold alongside 1/18 F40) by Bburago.

fabulous!

in pic seven, the profile pic of Bentley looks more like a Rolls Royce than the Rolls Royce.

Also, is the Bentley on a longer wheelbase than the Royce?

Thanks Preisman. GT Spirit made awesome Bentley models IMO and I quite like the workmanship and quality of the only two GT Spirit models I have here, the Turbo R and T2. Everything from packaging to the weight of the model is impressive in my view.

I believe so. GT Spirit advertises the Turbo R as LWB model so in one of the comparison photos you can see that the Bentley is slightly longer. Both Mulsanne and Silver Spirit share a lot of physical attributes I bet it won't be hard for GT Spirit to modify it into a silver spirit me think. Like what they recently did with the release of Rolls Royce Silver Shadow with is essentially the T2 with RR grill and hood ornament
By the way I think James May presented his own T2 in his introductory short video on Top Gear season 3 when he was brought into the team? Can't remember if his one was silver or light blue though.

More great models, Jazzy :eusa_clap:  I'm in the same boat with the Turbo R, I really wanted the green one, but I still want this blue one.  I've seen quite a few of the 1:1 and also 80s Mulsannes at Jaguar/British meetups, they're huge inside and out, with nicer interiors than just about anything made today.
Those look like some of BoS' better models as well.

Such a handsome collection. Last year, I met a musician who owns a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit just like your model. As always when I see a real car I like, I look for a scale model. Your pictures show how good these cars look.

Me too. That is one of the great 80s icons. One of the yuppies' ultimate dream no? Or too conservative? :giggle:

Thanks Mike! :occasion14: I almost bought the green one from a local collector when he was parting his resin models but I missed it due to my tardiness. And not to mention he was offload them at a huge loss. Thankfully the light blue one fits the car well in my opinion and that compliments the light blue Silver Spirit well. Those BoS resins are pretty solid. I have 3 BoS so far unfortunately two of them arrived with some degree of damage due to piss poor packaging. Both models were not tied down firmly so they moved during transit and resulted in broken rear view mirrors and crooked hood ornaments. :mad2:

Thanks I also had a few close encounters with the RR Silver Spirit in various past car shows as well and they are absolute behemoth. Thankfully both BoS and GT Spirit managed to capture the essence of these giant beauties well.
