Coming along nicely Rob! How do you paint out the underside, is it just brush painted? What paint do you use for that?
Cheers mate, yep, the underside is just painted with a brush and I use Tamiya enamels for everything

Thanks!  Want to have a go at that myself at some point :-)

UPDATE 26/05/2020  FINISHING THE MODEL

Next I drilled some tiny holes in the underside of my custom made transmission cooler and glued in the speed flow fittings
Posted Image
I then sanded down the thickness of the front tow hook, and then repainted it red and glued it in place
Posted Image
The oil cooler was then glued to the side of the rear wing leg as per the real car
Posted Image
I then bent and glued the new braided oil lines from the cooler to the gearbox
Posted Image
Tail lights glued back onto the rear clam and the underside painted in matt black
Posted Image
And that is pretty much it. Gave the model a wipe down to remove all my fingerprints and dust
Posted Image
I then mounted the model on a black BBR leather base. Still need to add a custom name plate on the front, but this is now done. Time to move onto the next build. Thanks for following the build. Cheers

Looks incredible Rob - certainly more than worthy of sitting on the BBR base. Another awesome build completed

Thanks Simon, I like my custom models presented on a base when they are finished. It's sort of the finale of the build for me when they are attached.

Turned out pretty neat, never had a doubt about it. I really have to see if I can find that Molotov paint, is it easy to spray with an airbrush? Do you dilute it or apply directly? And after it dries, can it be touched or is it always "sensible"? Sorry for all the answers, chome really is my nemesis...

BTW, how did you attach the windscreen? Did you also use Krystal Klear for it?

Thanks, I just buy that Molotow 30ml refils off eBay as I cannot find it here in Australia. No need to dilute, just skirt it in the airbrush cup and spray it. I use around 20 psi and spray fast and thick. And I didn't use the windscreen, just went with the black gloss
