Here’s a quick and fun photoshoot of my 1:18 BMW E30 M3 by Otto. I swapped the wheels with GMP’s 5-spoke. I made a quick adapter to mount the GMP wheels on the same diameter axle as the original. So they still roll. I kinda don’t want to post this under “DX Custom” as the modification is very light (and easy), may not be deserved to be called “Custom”.

My intent is to be able to return this to stock at anytime without a trace of this ever being done, just in case I want to return it to the OEM look or want to swap different wheels into it.

I would love to do like an M-parallel wheels or the LTW wheels from E36. But since this is a ‘resto mod’, these 19” GMP doesn’t look too bad. Plus I happen to have spares of these GMP wheels so I thought of putting them to use here. The one thing I haven’t got a change to do is to fit the caliper into the brakes.

Here are the indoors shots. Hope you like them :occasion14:

Fitment test

Those actually don't look out of place on an E30 M3 Stefanus!! :eusa_clap:
Also, cleaver that you you kept the wheels rolling.
I have a couple sets of those GMP wheels, which I had planned to use on my first two generation Skyline GT-Rs, but never used them.
Good application here. Good job Stefanus! CHEERS! :occasion14:

nice, i like it. not too big, and not too small, just the right size. the black wheel spokes and polished lip looks great with the red exterior too.

Great work and very tasteful as those rims really match that era of German performance cars.

Thanks everyone! :occasion14:
Just one of those easy thing to do as 'resto mod'.
That being said, I am on the lookout for a set of Otto's E36 or E31 wheels on ebay... Would love to fit them here too one day.
