There's a 1/8 model of the Rolls Royce Cullinan coming soon, made by Rolls Royce themselves.  Honestly, it makes Amalgam look like Norev.  Opening everything, working lights operated by remote control, and each one takes 450 hours to assemble.  It really is the Rolls Royce of scale models (sorry).

Details at Pistonheads, with the expected cynicism in the comments.  Around 15k if anyone is interested.

A Beautiful model,i love it(but not the price) i would say it would be a option or a tick on the invoice sheet for a new buyer of the real car so they don't have to get out of their seat to see the new Roller LOL. Very nice though. :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap:

I saw a video of this model on Instagram quite a while ago and just assumed it was made by Amalgam.... For all we know it still might be!

To be honest the Cullinan doesn't look too bad in the right spec in person and if I was rich enough to own a 1:1, I'd almost certainly buy a 1:8 version, especially with all those features 😎

I quite disagree. Maybach is the ugliest in my opinion. I think it is quite elegant and balanced. When I look into Maseratis, Benltelys, Lamborghinis or any other luxury SUV (except Land Rover, but they are different story) I don't have desire to buy anyone of those. Simply, it is a wrong story. Doesn't follow the rest of a line up. However here, yes that is a natural model in a line up. It bring luxury and convenience. Easier to step in and get out, more space inside for tall people. . .

I saw 3-4 so far and only ones that I considered to be not nice were modded ones. In factory set up it looks quite nice to me.

I wasn't sure the best place to put this, I sub to  Supercar Blondie YT channel and she put up a video today on  1:8 Scale hand built Rolls Royce Cullinan.

This is the world's most expensive model car! The 1:8 Scale hand built Rolls Royce Cullinan can be matched to the owner’s full sized Cullinan. It has over 1000 hand made components and takes over 450 man hours to make!

It has working lights inside and even on the heater controls, it looks very nice, but it should do for $40,000 (the price of the one in the video, they start at $17,000).

It's a battle for me in deciding which is more tasteless the Cullinan or Supercar Blondie. Not sure if this RR warrants this level of admiration to be honest.

Couldn't agree more.

Not sure I could spend 10% of my real car for a model of it. That is a huge price. I had that predicament recently with my Volvo (hit the link in my signature box). It is a $1200 car, not including the man hours to paint the damn thing. And I wanted a model of the car since I was not planning on keeping it. A model would be over $100, and any custom work would have just been too much of an investment.

:omg:  What's wrong with Alex?

I don't know, I like Rolls Royce's ( I have explained why here https://www.diecastx...ur-first-model/ )

It wouldn't be the Rolls I would go for but if I did I would have to get a model like that to match.

I think you are looking it from the wrong perspective. 10% of $1200 is $120 and that is an acceptable model price. With mods it might finish at price tag of an BBR or CMC or so. $17000 for a model alone is quite a lot of money! That is more than two times what are two of my cars worth combined, or 3 cars each. For a model, that is more than ridiculous price tag. But again, just like a real car, that model i snot for us. It is for some ultra millionaire, just like a real car. . .

Most millionaires would be smarter than that to spend 40k on a model car. And Blondie is over-rated. I cannot imagine she has such a huge following for the half baked job she does while 'reviewing' cars.
I know Kung-fu
and 50 other such dangerous words.
