I decided to start posting my collection. I started to collect Bburago 1/24 scale as a child, then moved to 1/18 as a teenager and added some Maisto and Solido. As a young adult I discovered Minichamps and Kyosho, then Autoart. Collecting was educational as it opened a window to the history of automobile.
I essentially love classic Italian cars (Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Ferrari,...). And as much as I don't care for BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche these days, I love what they made in the past.
The cars I collect are generally from the 60's to the 90's. There is such an emotional component to my passion. My favorite cars are connected to my childhhood, like the time I drove in a Alfa Romeo Spider Series 3 with my dad.
I also collect some rally cars and their relatives.
Lastly, I  collect cars because of their aesthetics no matter the brand and country of origin.
I hope to share with you as many models as possible. They are in their original boxes (I know I'm overprotective), so taking pictures of all of them is going to take some time. But here I start...

I was fortunate enough to encounter this car closely as my father used to work at a Fiat/Lancia dealership. It became one of my favorite cars. Not the most beautiful, not the most powerful, not the most reliable... But an extraordinary rally pedigree! Go figure! I just love it!

The mighty Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto (Autoart). In my eyes one of the most beautiful cars ever made along with the Ferrari 250GTO. 250 California, the Jaguar E-Type, the Citroën DS, ...

The Alfa Romeo Spider Series 2 by Autoart. In my humble opinion no other Spider looks as good as the Duetto. With the Series 2 it lost the finesse of the rear. Also, Minichamps' rendition is not as good as Autoart's (chrome work, rear lights, ...). Still a must-have model for me.

One of my favorite Ferraris: the 308GTB (Kyosho).

The mother of them all: the Ferrari 250GTO. I bought the Kyosho one as I could never make peace with the CMC's shape.

Autoart at its finest with this BMW 2002 Turbo. First, it's heavy like you want a Diecast to be. Second, it's very accurate, and third it's very detailed.

Kyosho also made an excellent 2002 Turbo. I think the nose of the Autoart is more accurate, but I like the Kyosho's wheels better.

In my eyes the most iconic of all Porsches: the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 (Autoart). A fairly good model. The first thing I noticed was how light it is. Not as well made as the 2002 Turbo. Engine detail is not great, the four tires are the same size. They shouldn't. And something bothers me about the shape of the front. However, I was surprised by the quality of the seats and the decent interior. I find the paint and the wheels really goos as well.

Say Hi to the legend! I just took this model out of its box for the first time after at least 17 years. The screws from the base were impossible to take off. After using some WD-40 I succeeded.
Wow! I thought it was just another model in a box. It's not. It's heavy, it feels solid, it's full of details, and it has such a presence on the shelf. This is a truly amazing model.
What amazes me is how beautiful the shape is. Only the Italians can create a stylish rally car! Why would you bother? Well, they did!
To me this is as good as the models coming out today (if not better). Just a step below the Autoart S4. I'll take it against any sealed composite!  It is so good!

Lovely collection and appreciate your focus on vintage European cars. I agree there is a certain intangible appeal to the Lancia Delta Integrale.

I'm glad that I could help you figure out how to post, amazing stuff so far :eusa_clap:
I agree about the 250 GTO shape difference, the Kyosho has always been good enough for me too.  And the green Duetto, what a beauty, I hope to add one soon  :drool5:

Thank you! I think the Delta speaks to the passionate. It's hard to explain for sure.

Thank you for your compliments! I started as a child. I stopped for about 10 years, and you're right it's hard to stop. Right now it's tough as I see more and more interesting cars from different manufacturers. Rehab is the only way out...Maybe.

Thank you! I'm so glad you appreciate my collection. I'm very picky about the cars I like and the way they are made.

Quite frankly you are the one who made it possible and I'm glad you like what you see! The Kyosho is behind the CMC in terms of details. I predict the 250GTO will be one of CMC's most valuable models in the future. As I wanted to keep it the overall shape was more important to me than the details and value. And I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and overall details of the Kyosho.

Thank you! I'm an outdoor photographer, so shooting indoor is different for me. But I'm learning new stuff and it's what matters!
