Cheers Tamas, it is nice to build a fully opening custom again, and it looks good in my display case next to my BBR's. So the effort was worth it.

Came out fantastic, Rob - I love it!!! :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap:
But even more than the final result I enjoy following step by step how you create your masterpieces!!! :adore: :adore: :adore:
Thanks for letting us join on your builds!!

Personally I still would display the model closed because this better shows the amazing colour scheme.
Sad to see that the hood does not properly close!
I know that there are very tiny but strong neodyn magnets available for little money - maybe some of these could help to solve the issue...(?)

Today I plan to visit a local model dealer and grab this Bburago for my very first attempt of a full repaint...

Thanks Dirk, I will change up the display method for this model every week. I did get some magnets and they did the job. Posted below

Thanks Darren, I really love this black yellow combo too. Maybe this give's BBR an idea and they can make some in this spec for other collectors. That would be quite flattering.

UPDATE 6/08/2020

My magnets arrived yesterday and I came up with a combo that fits between the chassis and the hood, these are what I am using. Larger one on the bottom and smaller one attached to the hood
Posted Image
I glued the larger ones into the mounting holes of the original brackets, I glued these in with JB weld.
Posted Image
Smaller ones glued to the hood
Posted Image
Hood now closes fully and held shut by the magnets. Happy now
Posted Image

And here is the pictures of the finished model in the photo box. Thanks for looking and following this build. It was a fun one. Cheers, Rob
