Ideally the trailer color should match the truck, in my opinion :occasion14: Or something in a complimenting  brigher color if you want it to stand out.

Thank you T1000, i was thinking to get a couple of Silver spray cans and spray it, with Wheel arches being black. But as vulpex suggested will look out for some inspiring examples.

Good job and lots of ingenuity in your approach.

Looking really professional.

Thank you ibj40.

Getting better and better!! :eusa_clap:

Difficult to give an suggestion for the colour - of course you have to keep your truck in mind.
What I would probably do is a bit of research in google pictures until I find an inspirering example...

Thank you vulpex, as you suggested will look out for some examples before painting it.

Pretty cool. I starting in the hobby in the mid eighties building truck models as my dad was driving big trucks back then, so I got right into them. Mostly 1/25 Ertl/AMT prime movers and trailers. I even was entering my truck models in model competitions when I was 14/15 and won my first ever trophy in life for a custom truck model.

For anyone that may want to build on of these trailers with more accurate frame, suspension etc, AMT actually make a 1/16 scale flat bed trailer, I think these are still available and are very close to 1/18 scale, you could just reduce the width of the bed to suit 1/18 scale, but you could still use all the chassis rails, suspension etc.

Taking nothing away from your efforts here Channa, you have done a great job building something from scratch.

Thank you Rob, will check for the AMT trailers. I was thinking of getting Tamiya trailer landing legs, if i could not build it.

Updates on the Trailer:

[U]Built the Landing Legs:[/B] They can be moved up and down, this was done by drilling 2 holes in each of the landing legs, and the leg holder. To hold the legs, i am using the rectangle paper clips and cut them to hold in place.

The landing legs attached to the trailer and side support to hold them in place:

Paint and attaching tail lamps is pending, will probably add a head board and some connection for brakes, tail lamps connection from the tractor.
