I was wondering how many of you own a model of the car that you drive!

I do! And, I also have models of six of my previous cars! :happy

Unfortunately no company has procuced yet a Peugeot 106 Rallye in 1:18. I cross fingers for Norev or Solido to make one...Apart from that mondo motors has recently released a Fiat Grande Punto, maybe I'll buy one ..

How about another choice for those of us who own models of cars that we used to drive before marriage / children / real life got in the way?

i had a red 350z touring (AUTOart white and orange fairlady z) and now i have a 04 blue Impreza STi (AUTOart Blue STi). Autoart should make a 92 or 97 Prelude, my daily driver now is a 97 Prelude Type SH and i used to own a 92 Prelude base model.

Does close count?  I have an Anson Club Cab version of my Dodge Dakota Quad Cab.  Of course, the Anson is four wheel drive and has a 5.9L engine, and mine is two wheel drive, with a 4.7L engine.

Regardless, I voted Yes.

Also, I have several models of cars I've owned previously, as Noddy asked.

:cheers

I do.  I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota extended cab.  Anson made a 1999 which is almost identical.

Yes I do!

It's actually the reason why I started collecting. The car looks different with new rims and suspension work, but the model represents my car in stock form really well.

I've never found a 2 dr Mark IV VW GTI VR6. I've seen 4dr versions, by Revell I believe.

I'd like to as I've had this car for 8 yrs and it's done me well and I've put alot of time, $$$ and TLC into maintaining the car.

It's not every day you drive your car onto a lot and the salespeople want to pry it out of your hands for something new. :cheers

I've got models of some of my previous cars, (2001 Miata & 2006 300C) but not my current car, a 2007 Mazda 6 wagon. I know I can get a model of it but I'm too intent on Corvettes and Mercs at the moment.

I agree 100% - I've got a silver '97 prelude and I'll want to remember this car when its gone... :(
A focused or planned collection can tell a story, while a random collection talks mostly about the collector. Neither is better than the other, it's personal choice - Woobs

I suppose I'm sort of close. I have a 1:18 Ford F150 Harley-Davidson. It's got a few things in common with my 1:1 Ranger:
A) Its a Ford
B) Its black
C) The floor is an uncarpeted plasticky material.
D) The dashboard appears to be the same color.
And that's about it. So I think I'll vote no :giggle

I have models corresponding to 3 previously owned sports cars, 1 previously owned sports sedan, and my current fun car which is an Alfa Romeo GTV-6.  The GTV-6 replicas are both 1/43rd scale.   I'm hoping that someone eventually comes out with 1/18th scale version of that car.
