Are you talking about wheels that look aluminum or actual wheels made out of aluminum?

I don't know of any scale model wheels made of actual aluminum - but anything is possible.

Good luck with the search.

I think Pavel may have used alu wheels on his Opel mod.
PM him. Scale118 is his site handle. Extremely helpful chap.

I just ran some of those prices through a currency converter.

Some of these wheels will cost more than a given model itself. :scared

You're right, prices are heavy - but the quality is simply amazing!
Though you double the worth of a Kyosho when mounting a set of those wheels I won't ever miss them.

To give some examples:

Schnitzer 'Type II' (HMC 16)

Audi 'S-Line' (both limited edition by special order, not available anymore)

"CNS2" (limited edition by special order)

The final product is amazing, absolutely gorgeous :cheers

As for doubling the price of the model - I'm a little skeptical. I believe this is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure the seller would take into account the value that the wheels cost and look to capitalize on that, which they should.

But I'm not sure about a buyer willing to spend the extra coin. Don't know.

Those rims are stunning fitted !
Wheels I think are almost the single most item that can make a good model yay or nay. Unfortunately, a lot of wheels look plasticky. This immediately downscales the model no matter how good.
Those rims can only upscale the model.
Beautiful pics Raidou & tks for sharing. :cheers

i will speak for my self and my models are not for sale and this extra coin its makeing the difference to me love the look of this wheels

but if someone thinking of selling them have to i think add them on top of the price of the model but they are worth buying thats for sure ;-)

I didn't mean doubling the price from the view of reselling. :giggle
I would never sell my customs!

What I wanted to say is: Though the wheels costs easily the same (or sometimes more) than the basic model, I don't want to pass on it for my mods.
They make them something special/unique.
Especially the rims on special order, which were made for me and a few friends.
The customs (RS4, S6) wouldn't look good without wheels true to original.
And when I was working on them there weren't any similar plastic rims available.

Sometimes it is hard to decide - a new model or a set of wheels - but I never regret my purchases. :zoom

Raidou,

I have a whole new respect and appreciation for the customs that you create knowing now how much you have invested in the wheels alone - not counting the time you put into other modifications.
