This was the black/black vert that looked very blah! So I decided to spice it up with some Krylon Rep Pepper paint.
Here is what was done:
-Painted and detailed the interior red.
-Carpeted the interior and trunk.
-Added cloth seat belts and metal belt buckles.
-Detailed headlights.
-Painted wheels black w/silver trim.
-Detailed the suspension and chassis.
-Added stripes.
-Detailed the exhaust.

Al, you're one of the best qualified people to save diecast snobs!   :cheers

Just like your many other Maisto mods, this one is tastefully done and beautifully executed!  Nice work!

Another completed project that I found that I re-took pictures to move it from WIP to complete. I didn't do a good job dusting it before taking the pics.

Looking good Al! You know i have a weak spot for black Vettes with red interior.

Might add that Maisto to my line-up C1-C2-C2-C3-C4-C5

Is there a Maisto C6 that has an interior in red? The Specter Werkes has a bit of red, but only partial.

All my models are like they came out of the factory (except the C3 Revell, who is a mix of 3 Revells), nothing re-painted.
I think i'll go on a chase for a black C7 and one with red interior, as i know Maisto makes them.

Nicely Done Al. It should have been produced like that, definitely would have been a Top Seller. The Racing Stripes really do it for me, nice touch!

Woah, good job!

I keep saying that those Maistos are basically there, they just need a little help.
Because I'm the Baron. That's why.

looks nice with the red interior, but i would have left the top of the dash board black.

did you use flocking material to make the carpeted interior?

Loving what you did with this vette! Black and red really do look killer on just about any car out there....but looks exceptionally good on your vette! :occasion14: :eusa_clap: :yahoo:
