Hi

I've seen HLJ is taking pre-orders on

Code: HPR08050  1/43 Porsche 911 GT1 #26 1998 Le Mans
Code: HPR08051  1/43 Porsche 911 GT1 #25 & 26 1998 Le Mans

as a february release.

I can't find images of the actual hpi models.

Do you have pics?

Thanks.

Francisco

Here's a picture of the pre-production model. It looks like it has a removeable engine cover like the Porsche 956's, Mazda 787's, Sauber C9's and Jaguars.

Roof air intake looks a little harsh??

Anyway, it's a must.

First one who gets them, please post pics!

Cool. Are they making other Mclarens in 1:18? Price seems reasonable..for a resin.

Pre order, available 27 Feb. I'd rather wait until they're in stock & other sellers list them.

F**k you Photobucket.

The short tail is one of the best shapes ever on a car.. The long tail doesn't even look like an f1 to me.

I guess it's a matter of personal taste but both the long and short tail were memorable racers as a teen, the real question for me is whether to get the fina or lark car...

I know, right? I happen to like both variants of the McLaren. They both were very memorable racers and good looking cars, in my opinion. And, I happen to have both in spectacular Gulf livery in 1:43 scale. :occasion14:

Truescale and AUTOart are making the short tail version

If it's not die-cast, it won't have a crumple zone

The white Fina and the Red-Black

If it's not die-cast, it won't have a crumple zone

i like both.. saw the mclaren f1 long tail in need for speed high stakes.. and fell in love for the rest of my life. i went to the garage to chose it and just let the game turn it around with the smooth music it had, for hours.. really..Hours ^^..i draw it, i dreamed about it. thats why the long tail is so
special to me. (specially in orange). but now.. i collect all mclarens with meaning to me.. like mp 4/4 of ayrton senna ,..  gtr 97 fia gt of jj lehto... and so on.. i love all of them.. and its great to see more people, feeling the same..

but this models up there are incredible.. tx god i dent by the leark and the loctite of minich. or ut. jet.. i have to buy those up there right now...

My thoughts exactly.

However I don't think that all Long Tails are less appealing than Short Tails.
For example Porsche 917L

Great news. Finally, a longtail with the correct ride height. Shame that it's sealed though. Really looking forward to the wave of 1/18 Mclaren models that'll be release this year.

I think I'd want an EMI one or one of the BMW cars with the flags on, myself.

Is there some special reason there's a sudden spate of new F1s?

M.

Out of curiosity, as a collector who switched scale, would you ever make an exception and get one 1/18 as a centerpiece? Which model would it be if you did?
