Both models in black:

AutoArt

(with credit to the original photographer)

Kyosho

(with apologies for my feeble efforts)

So. What's the verdict?

:goodpost I second that  :giggle

But for big GT-R lovers I think the AUTOart is a better choice. Every hinge is as realistic as possible, the wheels and brakes are a bit better while the Kyo has some dog legs. But that's when not discussing the price. When it comes into the picture I think the Kyo edges out a bit.

Still, I'll be going with the Jada as soon as it's available here (should be soon :hope: ).

the verdict is simple. BOTH!!. i read somewhere on a forum that the Kyosho RHD version was cancelled, im not to to sure how true that is though. Kyosho has some detail over AUTOart and vice versa. The price is about the same. Eventually i will take them both and make them do a head on crash hoping to build the Ultimate GT-R.

I like the GT-R enough to buy a higher quality model than the Jada. The front wheels don't even steer! :giggle

The Kyosho's hood hinges look incredibly fragile. Not that Autoarts are built better but Kyosho uses a simple piece of metal that is squished at one end of it to secure the hinges. My P-100 Mustang uses the same technique and the hood is not exactly the sturdiest I've come across :giggle

The only problem with the Autoart are the silver wheels(which I like actually on the right color GT-R) and the incorrect door handles. The handles should be body color except where the silver pull is. Kyosho did this correctly.

The brakes on the Kyosho are not good. Same as all of their releases. The cross drilled holes are way too big!

The interiors from what I can see both look quite nice from each company but Kyosho definitely has the realism here. Better materials by far, and the nav/info screen has the Gran Turismo inspired display showing while the Autoart does not.

Does anyone know if the Autoart has a plastic window over the gauge cluster? I can't tell if it does.

It's very simple..

The Kyosho GT-R is a Premium Edition GT-R in real life, hence why it has the Gloss metallic grey rims and a wider stance than the 2007 GT-R that the Autoart is replicating.

I have one of each, a GT-R Premium Edition of Kyosho and a Spec-V of Autoart.

You buy one of either depending on which GT-R version you like i.e. if you want a 2007 GT-R, you buy the Autoart one.. If you want a Premium Edition than the Kyosho is the one to buy.
