I wish one or both of these beautiful Hispano Suiza cars would be done in 1/18 scale. The lines on both are just superb!  The awesome 1934 Saoutchik Cabriolet appears everyday on my desktop as artful wallpaper.

Absolutely gorgeous.

I've been looking at autos from this era a lot lately - recently fell in love with the 1937 Delahaye 135 Figoni & Falaschi models. If someone made this in 1:18, I would be sorely, sorely tempted to pick it up.

Smokin' Moe, in this era, many fine examples of aerodynamic cars were made. Another one I would like to see done is a Tatra.

Your  Delahaye 135 Figoni & Falaschi  example is really interesting in the way the wheel wells are covered to give the car even more smoothness and low air drag.  Signature has produced a 1947 Delahaye and Guiloy did do a 1937 Delahaye 165 cabriolet and a coupe version, both of which are no longer made, apparently, and are hard to find. I could have gotten one about five years ago rather cheaply and missed out.  I'm still regretting that!

Wasn't familiar with Tatra. But I googled it, and it's another looker.

(Actually at first I mispelled it and stumbled upon a bunch of Spanish language websites with pics of erotic cakes).  :dizzy   :lol

But yeah. Those old streamlined designs are just fantastic. Except for Morgan, I can't really think of any marques that have maintained the sweeping elegance of that era.

The Delahaye 165 is nice. I've been looking at IXO's 1:43, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Now I'll have to poke around a bit and see if I can find some good pics of the Signature and Guiloy models you mentioned.

:cheers
