Guys, I was going to place an order with Uli Nowak and noticed that when you look at wheels for a specific model, you can select the manufacturer from a pull down menu (Minichamps for ex.). Does that mean that the wheels are made to fit that specific model without modification (direct swap)? Also, are the wheel sets engineered to rotate?
Please let me know
Thank you!

LOL, it must be a challenge navigating that site!  Is that 20 Euro per set with rubber?

True, but my rusty German helps a bit. I believe the rubber is included (choice of threaded tires or slicks!)

Its a shame they don't have any image for all their inventory.  Let me know when and if you order - thanks!

You at least will get 3 part, the rubber, the aluminum rim and the resin spoke. You MAY also get the brake disc and the BBS decal (I don't know this for sure). In order to put the wheel to your die cast you have to know the exact space of the wheel well also the offset of the wheel. You may built the hub yourself or ruin the old wheel and use the original hub, this way you still have a rotating and turning wheel and brake disk. You also have to mention whether the rim flat or staggered.
Up to 18" you only get wheel with 14,5 mm wide section. While in 19" and 20" you get wheel 15 mm and 17 mm wide section. Be aware that the 17 mm wide got a thicker sidewall.

the site that also sold uli's wheel:

hopefully it will help

Thank you Bruinne, very useful info.
I guess it would be too much work for Uli to make hubs for all the different manufacturers. Anyway, I'm gonna give it a shot.

I suppose you browsed his old website. Check out his new shop, there are all wheels pictured: http://www.modellbau...tyle_emoticons/default/wink.gif

The wheels have a black plastic disc in the back. If you choose "universal", you have to drill a hole for mounting by yourself.
If you choose wheels for a specific model, there's already drilled an excentric hole to fit on the original hub but with maximum lowering. The wheels don't rotate then, of course.

Here's a pic of what you get when ordering a universal set:

This is 99059-19 Alufelge 1:18 BBS Le Mans-Design 19 Zoll Flachbett uni
front 14,5/6mm, rear 17,5/8mm with profile tires

You can choose between profile tires or slicks, width of 14,5 (6mm wheel well visible) or 17 (8mm wheel well visible) on front and rear separately, step well or flat bed (on the larger sizes only).
Brake discs and decals are extras on demand.

You can also contact Uli via email for further questions or lead, he's very kind and helpful.   :icon_scratch:

Guys, these are spam bots, there really isn't a human behind each message posted.  This site needs to implement better registration criteria to filter such crap.

maybe an image code to complete when registering?
like most of mails and other sites... so this will avoid the atomatic machine that fills the fields for registrations....
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all!
Hope all your wishes come true!
