The rarest model in my collection is an Exoto Nissan with rolling chassis 1 of only 66 , I laso have a couple of Exotos that are 1 of 100 a Porsche 917/30 Sunococ with crash damage and a Ford GT 40 Mk IV with crash damage. I also have a couple of CMC birdcages one signed by Moss and another signed Gurney these are 1 of 100 too.

Simondc07 I just love that 206 SP Syder I really wish that GMP will produce a model of this much missed Ferrari as it one of the best looking machines to have left the factory.Congratulations

Mosteller the CMC 300SLR Mercedes Le Mans car is rare, but they were never officaly recalled by the factory. They would exchange them if you contacted them about the zinc pest but by then they could not exchange it for another of the same car as they had ben all sold by then. I have the same problem with my Mercedes W196 R open wheeler, yes they would exchange it but for a none limited edition so I kept it. Hope it not in to bad a state as it is a wonderful model.

Wow Steve - those Exotos are very exclusive. I didn't realise that zinc pest affected the 300SL Le Mans winner also. I checked my W196 recently and it was fine but the 300SL hasn't been out in maybe 18 months up to which point it seemed ok.

I agree with you on the 206SP - funny an actual 1:1 has just been offered at Duncan Hamilton (yellow Belgian livery). These little Dinos are fantastic. Hopefully GMP look at alot more of the sports racing Ferraris. I'd love to find a Ferrari 412MI like the one Carrol Shelby and Phil Hill drove.

Have what I believe is now a rare (hard to find) UT Kankunen Valvoline Ford Escort WRC which I treasure dearly especially since it has such delicate decals :icon_scratch:

I forgot two very important models, well they are to me I have a Bentley Prototpye racer that won in 2003 signed by all the drivers that is one of a hundred and a Porsche 956 Group "C" racer signed by Derick Bell and Jackie IckX that won the Le Mans race in 1983 again one of a hundred. I have not had them on dispaly for some time so I forgot all about them.

Mind if I ask where you got yours from?

Hello. I purchased it from a seller in Japan. He had it listed on ebay for 30 minutes at a fair price and i bought it.

So in terms of #, my rarest would be the Mondo Motors Maserati Granturismo "La Miniera Edition." It is limited to 1000. In terms of details, it is tge same as the normal version. It comes in an enclosed box and leather base with a plaque.

In terms of overall hard to find model, I would say UT Models Porsche 911 Turbo S or AUTOart V8 Vantage. I haven't seen a AUTOart Toyota GTS1 "plain body" as well, except for mine of course.

Brian's Recent Haul(s):

AUTOart Chevy Corvette C7 Z06
AUTOart Lamborghini Huracan
Triple 9 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R35)

My UT Mac F1 LM would be my rarest of the 1:18's, but I don't know what the numbers are on all of my cars, and now the majority of them is Minichamps, AUTOart, HPI or Kyosho in 1:43. The one car I haven't been able to find that I was lucky to get cheaply was the Minichamps DE version of the Porsche Carrera GT concept car. I imagine a good amount of them were made when they were new, but heck if I can find one in silver again.

I so regret selling my M3 CSL so long ago. By now I could've used it to pay for an AUTOart Mac.

I guess two of my more rare 1/18 scale cars would be my hand-signed Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe from Shelby Collectibles, signed by Carroll Shelby (one of one,) and my 1 of 102 Highway 61 22K gold plated edition Hemi Under Glass 1969 Plymouth/Hurst Barracuda.

I also have a 1 of 300 Mopar nationals edition "Snowbird" GTX

Besides all my 1 of 1 movie customs and all the unknowned quantities of numbered CMC and AutoArt models, I think those models are my top 3 ...

Funny thing is that they are all MOPARs ...

3rd) 1969 Dodge Charger "Black General Lee"  (1 of 150) ...  by ERTL Authentics

Posted Image

2nd) 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept Convertible   (1 of 120) ...  by Highway 61

Posted Image

For the first position, it would be this one :

1st)
2008 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda Concept (1 of a very limited edition, custom made on order) ...  by Highway 61/Robert James Concept

Posted Image

Although, I'm not sure if it can qualify for this list because it's custom made on order and not distributed by a diecast company ...

Going by the part numbers, my Mineral Blue Exoto Porsche 959 is rarest, as it is 1 of 2500.

But I think the most hard to find models in my collection are my Maxicar Lotec Sirius and Guiloy Hispano Suiza HS21-GTS, which also happen to be the 2 cornerstones of my collection.  It is perfect because both of these cars are one-ofs in 1:1, and I will buy all rare supercars available in 1:18.

My JADI Krypton Green Elise (courtesy of Mike! :icon_scratch: ), UT 993 C2 metallic gold on red, UT 993 GT1 in metallic blue, UT Estoril Blue Z3M Coupe (courtesy of Diego :occasion14:) and my white AUTOart Lotus Elise Turbo are probably the rarest/hardest to find items in my collection. I've got a 1 of 15XX 1:43 Minichamps 1:43 BMW 2002, but that's about it. I like models from defunct companies, especially when the build unique and already rare 1:1s or at least ones that are not often replicated.

Those are the two, along with the Chiron, that I most envy you, Mike. It's just a spectacular collection of exotic shapes. My only wish is that you would take more pictures, closer up, studio shots with white background, or more interesting locations like the ones Osman visits for his shoots.

They're my 3 favorite models too!  Actually I've full outdoor photoshoots of all 3 of them, if you look on my Webshots.

I would never make an indoor studio set up for taking pictures of my models, but in a couple of months I am moving to either downtown Chicago or Minneapolis so I will have a lot of photoshoots of my models with beaches and skyscrapers in the background :icon_scratch:

I wish I could find a 1/18 scale version of the Blade Charger.
'68 Charger
flat black, no roof vinyl
centerline wheels
stock/A hood scoop

like this one (custom 1/25 scale version)
http://www.spencer19...odels/blade.php

If I could find one with the right roof, I'd even consider making my own, but the wheels would be the tricky part to find. I have a resin hood scoop.
