Hi all

I had a burst of wheel swapping yesterday and came up with these. The black early series Landrover has been dropped on its head before (accidentally   :wavetowel2: ) but still looks Ok. It was originally a tow truck version. The red one I acquired recently and the green 4 door I have had for a while and I was looking to make it into a 6x6 version. I would also like to make a hard core off-road trials truck at some stage too...

What I have done here is to take the original wheels and swap the tires with 1:25th scale "fat" truck tires and a "rim" ring to hold that fatter tire on.

I am really starting to like these Land Rover models from UH. They have a separate chassis (just like the real thing) realistic suspension and drive system (which I could update to make it functional), they are easy to take apart and have interchangeable parts and they look cool too!

Here is the green four door with some super swampers on... (needs a bit of a lift!)

This is one Land Rover I would like to make: very small picture!

Very nice looking Rovers you have there, Peter! The wheel/tire swap really makes a difference in the overall appearance of the model. You should definitely throw the "super swampers" on that green Rover and give it a lift - that would really be awesome! Posted Image
