I don't suppose the front wheels steer, do they?

They do on all the Norevs that I have, can't see why wouldn't they be featured on the M1...

i have a norev 3.3L targa and the wheels barely has steering (if that). i lowered it too so that didn't really help either. the problem is the slot where the steering rack/rod goes is too small so it can barely turn the wheels. and i lowered it, so that doesn't help the situation either. had a 997 GT2 that i bought from a member here, i think that one had steering. or does it? can't remember. i sold it after two weeks.

Regarding colors from Modellisimo:

Quote

Hello Mark,

thank you for the email.

We only have these 2 colours, the other items will be done in future by Norev directly.

No information about colours yet.

best regards,
Guido Möller

I'm trying to contact Norev, but their website contact form is confusing and it won't allow me to send an email. Does anyone have a direct email address for them?

It would be nice if BMW would release the next generation when they revealed a concept version a couple of years ago.  I would love to have a diecast version of this.

Attached File  M1Concept007a.jpg   84.46K   2 downloads

So has anyone decided to order one?  I'm leaning towards the red as well and I'd like to swap the wheels with the BBS rims.  That would really set it off.

Its just over $100 CAN total. of which shipping is a big chunk unfortunately.

If it's not die-cast, it won't have a crumple zone

Got mine yesterday:

I'll keep the red in stock condition (apart from already changed plates).
The white will get white BBS.
And I plan to buy a third and repaint it...in Valencia Orange...a "homage" to the Hommage!

How difficult is it to change wheels on Norev models?  What size, diameter and width would you recommend?

Yes, I'd like to know what wheels and from where would you order them?

Dave I'll let you know when I order them.  Maybe we can get the local guys involved and save on shipping...  Most likely from here:

Thanks Davide.  That would be good.  Wheels, like the ones in the real world, are not cheap. I just hope it'll be easy.  I want to swap wheels on my custom Mustang that Shelby Collectibles did for me. I noticed they put the wrong wheels on it.

Guys, anyone know where to get the orange M1 for a good price? Don't want to pay huge shipping fees so prefer HK or euro seller (with good shipping rates)

I think the orange is just hitting retailers now (at least here in the US).

Got my orange one yesterday. I must say that while the pop-up headlights are a nice touch, the overall model is just wonderful. Photos coming when I can be bothered.

They also have a grey one: http://www.ebay.com/...=item3f23f354b0

Tempted at first but when I think about it, did BMW actually released this car in grey? I had to get mine in red because that was the official color for the M1.

I've seen the Grey model in front of me, I wasn't keen on the colour. I much prefer the other three colours.

F**k you Photobucket.
