We don't get many of them over here, but I have a '68 Camaro Street Fighter plus a '69 Camaro hole shot drag car from them & I quite fancy this one too, it'll be my first race one from them, is it worth getting? You'll have to forgive me, I realy like the look of it, but know nothing of the cars history (man I feel bad) If not, what others are worth a look?

F**k you Photobucket.

Seems like the TODCO car is getting a lot of money on ebay.  That's a nice one.   I haven't looked at one in detail, but kind of thought it'd be pretty similar to the Sunoco cars - of which I have one.  They are very detailed and really nice models.  If you have the street fighter and hole shot car - then you can probably figure the amount of detail and quality will be just as good.

I have one and i like it! It is the usual GMP model (quality) and is exactly like the Sunoco Camaro's. I especially like the colour and stance. Get it if you can :occasion14:

as the other guys mentioned the TODCO has the same level of detail as the Penske cars...which, even though they're getting older, are still excellent models.  As I stated in my Penske Camaro thread, its still my favorite GMP model in my collection.

Todco as a Donor

Yeah, they make a nice baseline model.  Having owned a similar 1:1 back in the day, I can attest to the relative accuracy of the model.

I know mate, thanks. I've been speaking to him, he'll take a ton plus postage, otherwise he's keeping it. I'll be able to sort one ;)

Scoop one up if you can Craig, they are only going up in price & getting harder to find.  Funny how they used to go as low as $45 to $60 USD back when they were all over eBay.  That is a car that only pops up once in a great blue while.  I sold mine back in the end of October for $217 USD shipped.  Not bad for a car I picked up locally back in the day for $40.

Craig,
Which '68 Street Fighter do you have? Just curious. As for the Todco car I'd love to have it in my collection but as was previously posted they are getting harder & costlier to find. If you like the Street Fighter look I personally think that the "Unleashed" Camaro from GMP is a great looking model - one of the favorites in my collection.

Good luck on the Todco......hope you get it and post some pictures if you do.

Good news - the Todco Camaro arrived today :wavetowel2: All mint in a mint box, the dude I was speaking to on ebay said he'd do it for a ton all in outside of ebay, so I did the deal. It's a cool car, I took a pic but I'm not that good with a camera, I'll upload it later.

I have the Lateral G car in Green - that colour bowled me over!! I really love that model. Your unleashed looks nice, nice contrast between the chrome lips on the wheels & matte black paint!

Ok the tread is few months old, but just had to add this.

Back in the day when I was here at dx hunting  for Camaros & info, I got one of many DX suprises from a friend who is well known very kind well & true gent. Jeff (JBS 33)

We did a few deals across the pond, he also helped get and he polished a Yellow Craft Camaro and we added gifts at times, but Jeff added the gift of all gifts for me.

This & it's the pride and joy of my Camaro collection. can never thank him enough for such a thoughtful gift.

Not surprising at all, Mike - Jeff's generosity is legendary around DX. I'm sure about 10% of my collection consists of gifts from Jeff, as well as a book, SImpson's figure, etc...and yes, I'm positive every model I ever received from him, whether gifted or purchased was polished before it left his house. In fact, on many occasions when I had other purchases sent to him which he then forwarded to me (seller wouldn't ship to Canada etc.) he polished the models, and on at least one occasion repaired a model that had arrived at his house damaged before sending them north.

Driving an automatic and thinking you're a skilled driver is like playing Guitar Hero and thinking you can play guitar.

Serious collectors don't buy budget models? Hahahaha...that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard
