It's actually the Aston Martin DB7 by Maisto that I hope to make them for. Unfortunately it'll be more difficult to make the brake calipers as the discs rotate with the wheels.
that's gonna be tough. I think i know a way to do it, first , there has to be a way to separate the rim from the brake disc,u need to attach a bit to the caliper that connects it to the steering rack( the rod that connects to the brake disc) and make sure the caliper has a bit of clearance to the disc so the wheel can still spin freely, then re-attach the wheel. If u are confused by this, have a look @ one of ur AUTOart's steering/brake system.
I can't help with making the caliper.
Hope that helps and good luck with the mod :cheers
post some pics when it's done, If u can post pics of "in progress" so others can learn how to do this in the future :cheers

You could try layering sheets of construction paper or the clear plastic that comes on most model car boxes. I tried it on the rear wheels on my Maisto Mustang GT and it looks nice. I'll try to remember to get pics :danbanna

The rear calipers of my Hot Wheels 550M come off, so if you find one cheap you can use it as a parts car. However It'll be pretty hard to modify them into front calipers. while leaving your steering system intact.
You could also cut and bend some sheet metal(possibly from a Coke can or something) to fit to the hub and have the general outline of the caliper and then layer it to give it some texture and a 3D effect. Just a thought.
