Just seen that the 1986 winning Posche is available, so is the 1997 TWR WSC car & the 2011 Audi R18

Nice!! it's a shame these are about £110 each plus shipping. I do want a few of these though.

1986 Winner
1997 Winner
2011 Winner

Mind you, I still need to get the 2010, 1996 & 1994 winners.

F**k you Photobucket.

I've got the R18 on pre-order and will be seeing them this weekend!

I have the Spark R15', and while the engine bay is sealed, it's a very nice model.

Cool! I'd like to go one day.

I've just hit up the R15, looking at the R18 now too, but there are still a few I want :gaah:

I planning to scarf up a few of the 2011 Le Mans racers in 1:43 scale, but, for now, I'm focused primarily on acquiring the classic Le Mans cars of the 60s-70s. I had originally planned to stick with the vintage racers, but those Flying Lizard liveries from '11 convinced me otherwise. :occasion14:

I love Flying Lizard cars, I have almost all of them, just looking to get the newer ones which I don't think are out yet.

I want the 2011 Audi R18 but it's hard to come by, then I'll go for the 1996 & 1997 TWR WSC Porsches.

F**k you Photobucket.

I share your thoughts and collection strategy exactly! Yeah, that Audi is difficult to find.

I do want the R18 and possibly even the R15 too but, like Matt, I'm focusing on classic LM cars first and have my eye on the Porsche 935/78 "Moby Dick" through Craigj3534. That would be my first resin and I want to examine it before I make any more commitments for models made in that medium.

Don't fight it Red, I've never been disappointed by Spark, I have no doubt the Moby will be great and you'll want more from Spark :wavetowel2:

They've certainly got the models I want, Tony. Spark's 2012 1/18th release list has several that appeal to me including three F1s: Jim Clark's 1965 championship Lotus 33-Climax, Bruce McLaren's 1968 Belgium GP-winning McLaren M7A-Cosworth Ford and Jackie Stewart's 1969 champion Matra MS80-Cosworth Ford.

But sports cars, particularly Le Mans and Can-Am vehicles, come first!

I've been impressed with both the resin medium and Spark. I will throw a bit of warning out there, and that is to simply say that resin is nowhere near as weighty/hefty as die-cast. So, it's a bit of a culture shock when you handle one of these lightweights.

Keeping your collecting habits in tow is wise... there are so many racers to collect! I originally wanted to focus only on the classics, but the contemporary racers are exceptional as well - especially Spark's offerings. :twocents:

Thanks, for the heads-up, Matt. I know there've been times when I've questioned the quality of a diecast based upon its weight, so its good to be forewarned :occasion14: !

You're speaking to an already lost soul - if there were any chance of keeping a leash on my collecting, that's been torn all to hell in 2012! I won't even try to add up how much I've spent this year on diecasts - it's by far an all-time high for me with almost half the year to go.

I have no problem viewing the new job I started in December 2011 as purely to fund this habit :giggle: ... :bawling: ...

I have a few few classic Le Mans cars, but as models are expensive I decided to get 1980 (my birth year) onwards. I want five Spark cars now - so I'm looking at over £500

1986 - Porsche 962
1994 - Porsche 962
1996 - TWR WSC Porsche
1997 - TWR WSC Porsche
2011 - Audi R18

F**k you Photobucket.

While it may be expensive, that's an outstanding lineup nonetheless! :occasion14:

Very true, I'll get round to getting them, probably be one at a time though.

Does anyone know what is happening with the 1/18 R18? I can't seem to find them and only a very few people have managed to get one.

I hope the 1997 and 2012 Le mans winners come out soon. These two will finish my 1991 to 2012 LM winners out. :drool5:

They are out, but they only seem to be from sellers in France.
