HUH!

If you think that's bad, if anything can be called
"legal robbery", the customs/tax charges I've
usually had to pay when purchasing a model
for a seller in the states would definitely be
called it!

Next to overdraft charges, this really makes my blood boil!!

Anything over £15 even a gift gets charged, it's on the HMRC website (good luck finding it though as it's in with a load of sub sections) the only way round is if a seller puts another figure on the parcel.

I got a bill for £350 once on a model that cost me £140 from the US, they'd thought the end fig on the value (an eight) was 00 - so tried to bill me ten times the price   They did sort it out though.

I never buy outside of the EU, unless I really can't get the item.

F**k you Photobucket.

I ordered once from Exoticar, back in 1999, according to my records. I told them to deliver to a relative in the US. But they sent the package to me here in Canada. The charges were considerable even back then. I must add, however, that when I contacted Exoticar, they did apologize and refunded the charges that I had been forced to pay.

I bought a model from Exoto and the shipping was free. However UPS charged me $40.00 when my model arrived. I prefer Canada Post because I ordered a CMC model from Greece with a $30.00 shipping fee and there were no other charges when my model arrived. UPS took almost 2 weeks to deliver my model from the US to Canada whereas Canada Post took 3 business days to Ship my model from Greece to Canada.
