I emailed OTTO to confirm the Fiat Coupe (I'd not heard anything about it apart from Sanchez saying about it the other day) & they said yes at the start of 2014 :wavetowel2: I've asked which ones they'll do & the colour etc.

F**k you Photobucket.

Glad to see this one, but it's wrong. They need to do one with the stance and wheels from The Transporter.
Come on wallet, don't fail me now.

Ask, and you shall receive!  I just got the E34 and E39 M5 models from Ottomobile, and I can't say enough great things about those models.  So naturally, this E38 7er is very tempting as well.

Hopefully they'll release some additional E36 M3s.  I suppose I could always try to find a UT model to fill the E36 gap in my M3 collection, but since Otto did such a nice job with the M3 GT, I figure they could release other M3s as well.  What I'd really like to see from them are BMW Touring models, because as much as I love BMW sedans, sometimes I think the wagon variants look even better.

I would also love to have the E38, but would prefer the sport version with the lower stance, shadowline trim and the M-Parallel rims. I wouldn't mind if it was the short or long wheelbase version.

Posted Image

Same thing with the Citroen XM that Otto came out with. It is a nice model, but I rather have a sportier version.

That's exactly how I'd like my E38 as well.  The 7's since this model have not been anywhere near as good looking.

+million

This was the last great looking 7 and the E39 was the last great looking 5 series (that's why I still own my 1:1).

I said a while ago that I'd like an E38 like that one (I think I even used the same pic) but they did the 'business' version, so I won't be getting it :(

Uli Nowak or some other company makes M-parallels. You can swap the wheels.

That's nice to know. Are they already painted and come with emblems?

The chrome trim on the doors and windows would need to be painted black. The steering wheel and front seats would be incorrect for the sport model.

They come as bare resin, and I'm not sure if they have emblems either. Raidou would know more than me. He fitted the wheels above to an E39 M5.

Thanks for sharing. There is something a little off about them. Maybe too much curve on the spokes or the face sticks out too much. We would have to see it from more angles. I can't tell if they are staggered or not.

He'res the link I got the photos from.

I think something is off about them as well, but they are the closest things we will ever get to M-parallels. Perhaps something seems off about them because they are mounted to an M5.

I don't think that they are mounted to an M5 makes it look off. They only difference visually between the M5 and the 540i are the bumpers, dual exhaust and door mirrors. The 2003 540i sport models came with the the M front and rear bumpers and the M-Parallel rims.

Posted Image

This photo shows that they aren't staggered, which they should be and the spokes are too curved.

Here is a 2003 540i Sport:

If I put a set of the M parallels on it, I'm still left with the chrome work round the windows etc. I'm going to sit this one out.

LOVE your 1:1!

I do think the rims look slightly off...could part of it be the size.  They look a touch small to me.

Thanks, that pic is from a few years ago. I updated the headlights and side markers with OEM Euro clear lenses to match my rear tail lights. I felt it gave a fresher, cleaner look than the ambers. I also like these head lights better than the newer angel eyes. They are factory xenon's and that's what is most important to me. Here it is mostly recently when I was changing the oil.
