There are many tv/movie vehicle that are being produced in 1:18 scale nowadays, but there still seems to be one that is constantly overlooked.

Colt's truck was a Rounded-Line 1982 GMC K-2500 Wideside with the Sierra Grande equipment level package.[1][2] A Rounded-Line 1980 GMC K-25 Wideside with the High Sierra equipment level package was also used.[3] It had a 4-inch lift (Burbank Suspension seven leaf front and nine leaf rear) and 36x16.5x15 inch Dick Cepek Fun Country off-road tires mounted on a 15x10-inch chrome wagon style wheel. The truck also had a custom-made chrome roll bar mounted with 4 off-road lights, and a custom chrome grille guard mounted with 2 off-road lights and a Warn winch. It also had a 9ft tall cb antenna mounted on the driver side rear quarter behind the wheel well. On the roof of the truck was a hook that the cb antenna was usually under and many times throughout the show colt is seen grabbing and releasing the antenna from the hook before getting jnto his truck. One unusual characteristic was a secret compartment in the truck's bed, which was used to stash away villains or to hide weapons.

The vehicle was painted brown and tan two-tone; it had an eagle painted on the hood with the phrase "Fall Guy Stuntman Association" underneath. The truck was very often involved in high-speed chases and huge jumps. As a result, it became very popular, especially with children, and numerous toy and model versions were produced.

During the show's run, the stunts took their toll on the trucks (for example, one clip that appears in the opening credits clearly shows an axle breaking after a jump), so several different years, make (Chevy/GMC) and model trucks are used during the show's initial run. As a result, there are some inconsistencies in the episodes. For instance, in the pilot episode the truck (a 1980 model) has two square headlights and a light tan interior. For the remainder of the series, it almost always had the quad headlight configuration of the 1982 and newer models, with a dark brown interior. The truck usually appeared to be a long bed model, but sometimes a short bed model was used. The truck was powered by a stock 350 V8 and Turbo 350 automatic transmission. After destroying several trucks due to the huge jumps, a custom built jump truck was built as a solution. It had a reinforced frame and heavy duty axle trusses, dual shocks all around, suspension limiting straps, lift blocks, and a steel weight box in the bed (which was loaded with up to 800 lbs of lead for a jump) and a mid-mounted engine that actually sat in the middle of the cab. This greatly reduced the number of trucks scrapped during the show's production.

I think this could easily be done by Hot Wheels as a part of the Elite Cult Classics line. It shouldn't be hard to get the licensing for it since the A-Team Van has the same license holder. I would love to see this done since I grew up watching this along with the Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, and Knight Rider, but those have all be produced in high quality in 1:18. It would also look awesome next to my authentics General Lees, and Elite A-Team van!

Oh yeah! I'd kill for this truck in 1/18! Not because of the TV connection, but because these are cool trucks! Mmm big wheels, a lift and bars!

Yea I know what you mean : ) This is on the top of my wish list for vehicles to be made in 1:18. I waited for the A-Team van with no hope in sight and then out of the blue Hot Wheels did it. I just wish Hot Wheels would release it as a part of their Elite Cult Classics Series as well! It would be one more to cross off, and I think it would sell rather quick just because its a 4x4 with beefy tires a roll bar and grille guard with lights...etc, and that hasn't been offered too much, if at all, in 1:18.

Even if that was produced in 1:18 I would buy it in a heartbeat! And of course make it into this! : )

That's a little too much lift for my taste : ) one will need a ladder to get in it.

I can only wish and hope and pray that one day the Fall Guy Truck will be produced in 1:18.

:) I absolutely NEED one!!! I have now started talking Matt, the Greenlight representative about the truck hoping Greenlight can do it since we're getting direct feedback from them. I have emailed Hot Wheels several times, but no response. Here is the link

I like it!

It would be nice to have more full size truck options from the Big 3 from the 1970-80's era. I would also throw in the International Scout.

I too cannot believe this truck has not been produced in 1/18 scale...Seriously?....this thing would be awesome....And while we're on this subject, another truck that needs to be done in 1/18 is the Simon & Simon Dodge Power Wagon...

I just remembered Heather Locklear and the great opening theme song.

Cause I'm the unknown stuntman that made Eastwood such a star...
