Hi guys,
I would like to share with you some pictures of my new beauty, Ferrari LaFerrari with carbon fiber roof by BBR Deluxe Edition (#4/10). It looks amazing in person and the quality is one of the best I've seen from BBR or MR. If you are waiting for your copy, get ready to be super excited.
Scroll down for the bonus pic :)

While I was picking up LaFerrari, I also noticed this beautiful 599 China Edition (#1/5) also by BBR and I couldn't go home without it...

WTF!!!! why?, howcome?, how's that even possible? where's mine? :gaah: You are one lucky man KA3AX, so what's the quality like?, more, I want more pics but above all, I want mine. I'm speechless, but congrats on a fantastic looking model.

Now the question remains as to who will be the first to have the MR LaFerrari - would be nice to compare the two of them. Damn I can't stop looking at it :nice: :hope:

Mikum, thank you! I can definitely sense your excitement and frustration at the same time haha. Are you waiting for MR or BBR version? I am sure MR will be great too. This particular piece is flawless. I spent a good hour looking at it to see if something is wrong with it but can't find a single detail. I also had a chance to pick between Red car with Black roof or Carbon roof, and some versions had Red base instead of beige.

From what I understand BBR shipped this batch to my US dealer before leaving for Summer break. The dealer received it today and emailed right away to see if I wanted to come to pick it up. 20 minute drive and I had this beauty in my hands.

KA3AX I am, as you have mentioned trully exited and frustrated at the same time, I've been bombarding BBR with mails cause mine's been on pre-order for quite some time already and with them always postponing the release date, I was almost on the verge of cancelling my order but backed out of that option. As you say, they are now closed until September and then will start to ship out, so mine should be coming soon. To be honest I'm not too sure whether I have the carbon roof or plain black one.

As far as MR is concerned, well I've given up on their models, their quality has deteriorated and are not up to my expectations anymore, also what annoys me is their stupid a pathetic "flag color" combos and then also releasing colors on models which don't even exist as 1:1 (Aventador J for example), not saying that other brands don't have QC issues, but MR has really disappointed me, especially at the prices they are asking for models. Hoping not to expect the same from BBR. :nice:

Ah, well I just wrote in the news thread that you'd be annoyed, and here we are. I sympathise, it's really an annoying distribution system.

KA3AX, the model looks fabulous, great combo. So, who is this magical dealer, mr. Reali's brother in law??

As soon as I saw the thread title I knew mikum would be devastated haha.
No worries mate, good things come to those who wait. I'm dying to have mine but it doesn't matter when I get it :)

Mate, she looks beautiful. One of the best 1:18s I've ever seen. Love the base as well.
I'll be over the moon when mine arrives. Will be my centrepiece for sure.
Congrats on getting it first :)

The 599 is very cool. I much prefer this one. I am not a fan of the LaFerrari but the model looks very detailed, very nice. Congrats, both are very special.

Congrats KA3AX, and I'm also in NYC. Can you help answer a couple of questions? Are the major side panel gaps just painted black? And how is the fit/finish around the base of the wing mirror against the side window on each side of the car? From BBR's pre-production pics, I became concerned as the wing mirrors were glued on pretty sloppy and not straight, plus the panel gaps were just painted black and unevenly -- probably hand-painted and that person did not have a steady hand haha. I hope these are two non-issues now with the production version. Any super close-up pics appreciated. Thanks. I'm still on the fence about this model and still looking to see production version pics of both BBR and MR to see which one is better for me.

Really, who cares....This is not a race nor competition to see who is getting the latest and greatest....

I couldn't agree more on this. Diecast collecting isn't a competition. Who cares if someone gets a model before you.

guys don't get me wrong, I just wrote that because I'd really like to see these 2 manufacturers as a side by side comparison, but I totally agree with you, it's not a matter of who gets it first, last, today, next week, next month.... :nice: we all share the same passion and that's what counts :occasion14:

Consider the LaFerrari checked off on my list of must haves but I can't swing a BBR or MR.

Your pictures are awesome. Showroom lighting just gives it the extra kick.

Guys, thank you all for comments! I hope you will receive yours soon too. My dealer is Francisco, Racelinemodels.com. He received his shipment yesterday so if you pre-ordered one from him you will be getting it in the next couple of weeks.

I took more pictures of LeFerrari today and hopefully these pictures will help some of you to answer questions/concerns you may have. As RacEr pointed out my model has one issue with the left rear light. It's slightly tilted. No biggie.

Ok here're updated pictures. From the heart of NYC, Central Park...

I dont like the design of the LaFerrari but the model itself is very well produced. It looks like a 1:1. The paint is brilliant. I really like the carbon fiber design. BBR have done a great job with this model like what they did for the F12.
Thanks for sharing!
