I went to Costco to shop and of course, buy some Maistos. I got there and saw they had a Nissan GTR 1:18 thats right 1:18. It was a reboxed Bburago and when I took it home it had no seats in front. What should I do? Return it (because Costco doesn't exchange) and get a different car or call Bburago and tell them about it?

I'd just return it and go get an identical model off the shelf. This isn't uncommon though. I've heard of Maisto 1967 Mustangs with Camaro wheels.

Thanks but the problem is that it was the olny GTR. I even searched the back of the pallets to see if they had more.

Take it back. It is quite common for the low life parts scavengers to buy a model, strip it and take it back.

If I were you I will go back there for exchange. They should allow such exceptions because the item is clearly incomplete. Replace it with other models. I'm sure you will find another GTR in future. :hope: :twocents:

You should be able to return it for another one.  Costco is pretty cool about their return policy.  If you can't find another GT-R on the shelf, you can try a different store location.  I know different Costco locations might carry different models.

None of those. I would use the ones on a the Audi R8 GT. I just bought one for the wheels and the seats.

Not a bad idea. But still thinking. Costco runs out of Maistos in mid November. In late September or October they get a new shipment or they just turn the display around. Does Sams Club bring them after Costco and keep them untill Christmas?

Sam's Clubs are just starting to get them in now.  Still, once they are gone [by the holidays or not] they don't order more until next year.  I have seen some unusual 'non' Maisto diecasts in boxes there too.

I think he is talking about the models that people switch and take back to the store. I have seen literally hundreds of switcharoos over the years.

Oh. If I have Maistos from Costco that I bought last year is it okay to return the ones I don't like or disipointed with? I know the barcode and item number are the same its just the box. Last years boxes were the red ones. This years is white. I have kept them.

Yeah your right. But would the Costco workers not put it back if they see the box is from last year?

Weird thing is that I don't think it was returned. I think the person who made it just forgot to put the seats. Plus the tape and bands were on it. But still, The stand was loose a little.

If the codes for current year is generic regardless of the model, people can just simply return the old model put in the new box. However, like I said, it's not cool to do that...

Your right I will just return the GTR. Got some advice on what Maistos I should buy? I don't Collect classic cars/Muscle cars. Unless I have room (which I don't).

Like acisne said, also IMO, Audi R8 GT is a great choice.... With the price so low I will also get Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 and the Alfa 8C Competizione. :twocents:

I have the Alfa 8C. The GT3 RS 4.0 is pretty much like the normal one which I have. How about a Countach?

I do not know if you realised, the 4.0 has rolling brake discs with static calipers... The previous ones do not even have calipers... No no for Countach... It is out of proportion; too short and tall...

Okay what about the regular R8 or how about a SLS. I got the Reventon and its a great model. Is the Bburago Diablo smaller than the Maisto Diablo?
