Thanks for the info, Dirk. I will keep this in mind as i would love to see such a place. They are still setting future standards with their cars and it's Great that someone high up had the forward thinking to roll Bugatti until it gets back on it's feet and starts making money and is not just a Halo Brand. :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :yahoo: :occasion14: :danke:

Up next is a Brilliant looking model although, again let down by having stickers for the interior detailing. It's the GT Spirit 1/12 1968 Corvette C3 in Le Mans Blue. I wish they wouldn't go the easy route with the stickers as a full detail interior like they have done before makes the model so much nicer. You gotta love a Vette though and this is such a cool car.

Thank you, darkco. I bought it off ebay and i think it was a pre production version just before it was about to go into production, i even thought i should wait and get the production run version which at the time was just about to come out. However the model never made it to production and i ended up with one of a handful of these, luck was on my side for this. They had plans for making the 1/12 Pantera too. I was very sad to see this company stop at the 11th hour as overall the model was a Great looker just let down from what i said at the time. Hope they get the funding back on track and start this 1/12 line back up, i would buy more from them. :yahoo: :occasion14: :danke:

Thanks Dirk. I must admit i am a fan of many cars but the Corvette is a extra special car i love a bit more than the other fan cars. When i first started work at 12 years old i was working for a ice cream man and his sons had a Corvette that looked like this in Yellow and i loved to see it going up and down the road, ultra cool back then and even cooler now so that probably did it for me seeing the sexiness and sound of something i had never seen before in real life. This is such a great iconic shape. :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :occasion14: :yahoo:

Nice story about the corvette. Things that you will always remember :yahoo: I prefer the older Corvettes above the new ones. Great looking C3 you got there.

Couple of great models here Daz!
The Skyline is definitely near the top of my list as it brings back font memories of playing Need For Speed and Gran Turismo when I was a kid - the overall execution is a bit of a letdown so I'd definitely get it repainted in an extreme colour and do a carbon bonnet, plus add in seatbelts at the very least!

Thanks Nick, has to be the "1956" but most are so nice and in their own right as a version. i think they lost the style a bit in the 80's as this version is the least exciting of them all but the 2020 version is cool and i have one on its way to me in 1/12 so can't wait for that. :yahoo: :occasion14:

Thanks Chaim, as you know the interior is not as good as the AUTOart R-35 they did in 1/12 but the outside is a Great looker and going down the Purple Godzilla route or the lovely blue would make this a killer model. :occasion14:

Corvette exterior looks very nice, thanks for posting; I agree the interior is very much lacking , with just cheap stickers and no engraved gauges or console features.  They Laos should have gone with the 427 hood and side pipes, that would have enhanced the appeal of this model greatly.

Agreed, a half attempt at a Great looking model. They should automatically know any collector is going to draw their eyes into the interior so make it a stand out piece on the model. :occasion14: :yahoo:

Here is my latest model that has come and it is a Beauty. Its the GT Spirit 1/12, 2019 Corvette ZR1 in Red. 1of 250 America only special Edition. Strange how GTS can make this and the C3 shown earlier but the C3 has stickers for the centre console and dash and this ZR1 has real features, this is miles better. come on GTS if you are reading this, Stickers do not do it for a collector as a substitute just take a bit more effort to do it properly like this ZR1. I love this model wouldn't mind having the real car of this, it's gorgeous.

This is a Fantastic update and a re buy of a Holy grail in 1/12th. It's my 11th model this year and what a Stunner it is. Its the Kyosho 1/12 1985 Lamborghini Countach LP5000S in White. You just forget how cool these models are and talking to a few collectors we are all of the same opinion that the White on white version is the best looking of all the versions Kyosho did in 1/12. It came with the usual paint rash but not bad and i thought i would use T cut as a mild abrasive/cutting polish to get the rash out. It took 1 1/2 hours to make it like new again so it worked for me as you can go so far then stop to see what effect the cutting has done and it is not a quick rub and done job so happy with the final result. As i said i had this White version several years ago and foolishly sold it but took photos of it while it was in my collection but not the best photos back then so i had the chance to get sharper photos outside today once i had cleaned the new purchase up. If ever you get the chance to purchase one of these i would say go for it, a Stunning work of Art and one of Kyosho's best efforts putting to shame their recent resin and sealed models, although very nice they are they are not in the same league as the Diecast and fully opening models of yesteryear.

Now the only way up is to a 1:1. Congratulations on the Countach. It is fantastic. If there are any two cars I want in 1/12, they would be a yellow McLaren F1 and a white Countach and I would stop collecting.

Thanks Gary and Winston, this is what all models should be like at the very least from what makers have learnt over the years. I have been impressed all over again with this while taking photos today and to get the rash out of it is a added bonus. :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :drool5: :drool5: :drool5: :drool5: :yahoo: :occasion14:

That Countach is indeed a reminder of the glory days of proper diecast models, and that too in 1:12 scale! Well done Darren mate in re-acquiring this and also on removing the paint rash :eusa_clap:

An excellent model all around but I'm especially struck by that very nicely executed engine :drool5:  Looks almost at the same level as a CMC engine bay!

Thanks Uzair. I thought i would try a different approach to getting rid of the rash and as it involves rubbing it down i thought of the real car way of removing swirl marks and light scratches by using "T cut " which ended up another way of getting rid of the rash. Bring these 1/12 back, Kyosho. :danke:
