Just wondering if there is a standard size of rod used when building a roll cage in a 1:18 model?
I have 2.5mm styrene rod to use in my build, it looks proportionately correct in the model, whereas I think 3mm may be a bit too big. But are most roll cages built in 1:1 cars the same size, which to correct scale would make 3mm the rod to use? :icon_scratch:

Any help is appreciated. :occasion14:

Thanks Jim, seems 1.5" converts to 2.1mm in 1:18 scale, so 2.5mm rod is more than enough.

Thx.

I use 3mm Tamiya clear rods and they work fine, you can easily bend and no heat is needed
